We are involved in sale and purchase of new & old container of various types within the country and worldwide. Buying and selling for the past decade we deal with both 'domestic purpose' and for 'international export purpose'.

Domestic Purpose: As per Indian customs, the container which is made out of steel is also treated as imports into India along with the cargo which the container is carrying. The cargo is cleared by the respected Importers after fulfilling the formalities of Indian customs But the containers are to be re -exported within the time stipulated by the Indian Customs or the container will be treated as 'Import to India' and thus the owner of the container or his agents will have to complete the customs formalities (assessing/paying duty)in order to use the container for domestic purpose.

Re Exports purpose: The containers are being bought in India for reusing, with export cargo or to be repositioned as empty to various destination as per the buyer's wish. Once the containers are sent back to any such destination, the customs formalities have to be completed by the shipping company who has filed the manifest for the container when landed.
