Seco Tools shall offer products and services in the area of cutting tools that complies with the expectations of our customers. We shall with customer focus work with an overall view on quality and systematically work with continual improvements of our processes with all employees' and suppliers' involvement. This shall be achieved by; * Defining objectives/goals that are continuously monitored and reported * Setting standards that satisfy customer demands * Always complying with the standards * Continuously reviewing the quality system and fulfil the requirements of ISO9001 * Continuously informing and educating employees in order to make quality a responsibility of every individual in the company. Global Quality Objectives 2009 LIFE All units to set targets on number of ideas/employee and year and level of implementation Create process and start monitoring ideas per year for production units Improve the claim level All production units have targets on lowering their claim levels, both external and internal claims, with at least 15% compared to the results in 2008 Capability All standard production units measure capability on key machines 2009. Create common process to collect data (machines, products) Global ISO 9001 certificate Integrate UK, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France (Bouxwiller), Brazil, China and India 2009 Answers on customer complaints Decrease answering time to customers The major quality activities for 2009 are close connected to the global quality objectives. In order to strengthen Secos work with continuous improvements a new improvement program called LIFE (Little Improvements from Everyone) was launched in 2008. During 2009 the development of this program continues with the aim to involve everybody working for Seco.
