The new Alfa series consists of 7 models. These seven models are divided into two groups.

Group I


Transfer pumps - Models : Alfa-50 R, Alfa-50 and Alfa-55

Low head (upto 15mts) medium capacity pumps coupled to 1440 RPM motors

  • These pumps are normally used for transferring acids / alkalies / corrosive chemicals and also for loading and unloading of road tankers.
  • Used for effluent treatment plants for max. 3 m. negative suction with foot valve.
  • Used for recirculation of chemicals in electroplating plants and pickling plants.

Group II

Process pumps - Models : Alfa-160 R, Alfa-160, Alfa-170 & Alfa-40

These pumps are high head (upto 35mts) with different capacities coupled to 2900 RPM motors.

  • As they are excellent for scrubbing corrosive and aggressive gases like Cl2, Br2, I2, SO2, SO3, CO2 etc.
  • Used in batch process, these pumps are recommended for use against filter press in dyes and intermediate industries.
  • For recirculation of chemicals in electroplating industries. Alfa-160 R, Alfa-160 & Alfa-170 models - are available with PVDF Impellers for high temperatures upto 100 degrees centigrade.
  • Alfa-40 model is high head (upto 50mts) low capacity pump coupled to 2900 RPM motor.
  • Excellent for vacuum ejectors.

This series consists of four models Alfa-500, Alfa-750, Alfa-1000, Alfa-1500 R and Alfa-1500

  • Jumbo Moulded Polypropylene Series is specially designed and developed for high capacity and high head application
  • Alfa-500 Model is designed to transfer Acid / Alkali / Effluent at higher head & high flow rate. This pump can operate at 1450 RPM as well as 2900 RPM
  • Alfa - 750 high capacity 1450 RPM Pump
  • Alfa - 1000 high capacity 1450 RPM Pump
  • Alfa - 1500 high capacity 1450 RPM Pump

These pumps are recommended for

  • Jumbo series pumps are high volume / flow transfer pumps
  • Recommended for acidic effluent transfer for large scale industries
  • Scrubbing acidic fumes in steel industries
  • M.O.C. PP - upto 55o- 60o C

Heavy duty engineered polypropylene sump-pump for primary effluents / corrosive liquids and scrubbing systems.

  • Zero maintenance pumps, eliminates the need for gland packing and seal
  • Leak proof and can run dry without damage of rotating parts
  • Pumps to be mounted out side the suction tank in vertical position and not to be submerged
  • Vertical gland less pump, similar in hydraulic design to any conventional centrifugal pump, it differs in, so far as restriction is provided, escape by way of an overflow connection in the upper pump body & return to the suction line
  • Preferred selection for E.T.P. Plant because of seal less design
  • Pump is seal less hence can run dry
  • Minimum component makes maintenance easy

Polypropylene Pumps (Self Priming Pumps ETP - 50)

Polypropylene Pumps (Self Priming Pumps ETP - 50)
This is a self-priming pump with 3 m. negative suction. Coupled to 2900 RPM motor. Excellent for handling acidic effluents (not recommended for effluent containing solvents)

  • A normal centrifugal pump with a priming bowl and a built-in rubber flap valve.
  • Will lift up to 3 mts. depth.
  • Available in completely injection moulded PP.
  • The pump has a Hastelloy Sleeve on the shaft.
  • Very compact and most ideal as it is compatible with heavy vertical submersible pumps.
  • Can be supplied with quick connect coupling for ease of installation on request.
  • No vertical submerged pump can match it for economy and performance.
  • Supplied with Polypropylene Strainer.

How Our Pumps Self-Prime

  • The user must only fill the housing once with the liquid to be pumped or with water. This is designed to retain this priming liquid even if the pump is shut off. When started, the pump impeller mixes air from the suction line with priming liquid. The resulting froth is expelled into the priming chamber where the bubbles collapse, allowing the air to pass off through the discharge. The liquid from the bubbles falls back and is retained in the pump until mixed with more air from the suction line.
  • This process continues until all the air is evacuated from the suction line and the liquid to be pumped rises to the impeller. Normal pumping takes over from here.
