Exhaust gas recirculation technology is recycling of small amount of the exhaust gas to reduce oxides of nitrogen (Nox) that is one of the air polluting gas, by lowering the temperatures of engine interiors and absorption of vibration and heat expansion from engine.

EGR tube assembly carries unburnt gas vapors from the exhaust manifold chambers to the intake manifold and is reintroduced into the engine firing sequence. It is used in conjunction with catalytic converter for better performance. It also enhances the life of critical engine moving parts. The gases are cooled before they are fed back.

The typical external EGR tube is mounted between the exhaust manifold or crossover pipe and the EGR control valve. Because the gas temperatures can exceed 650ºC. (1200ºF), the resulting thermal expansion loads on the tube can cause early valve, tube, or manifold failure.

Metallic Flexible Hoses & Hose Assemblies, manufactured in isotonic steel, AISI 321,316L,304 grades conforming to international quality standards. Senior India specializes in Oxygen and Water lancing Hose Assemblies and is supplier to all major steel plants in India. Hose is manufactured from 6mm to 300mm NB and braided on braiding machines of 24, 36, 48 ,64, & 96 carriers depending on the Hose diameter. Hose from 20mm onwards are produced by hydro forming process. Hoses and Hose Assemblies made by Senior , conform to BS6501 Part-1 and ISO 10380 standard.

Assemblies are made by TIG welding of stainless steel or carbon steel end connections. 100% testing of Hose assemblies for Hydrostatic test at 1.5 times the working pressure is carried out. Pneumatic testing by air under water is carried out whereever necessary. Senior has installed in-house test facilities for various tests as per international standards.

Senior specializes in production of customer specific bellows. Bellows are stainless steel flexible tubes with parallel corrugated convolutions. Due to their flexibility they are very much suitable for industrial and Genset Exhaust applications. Bellows can be supplied with end connections as per customer requirements. Bellows can be produced in range size from ID 50mm (2") to 300mm (12") nominal bore.
