What is a fire door?
As per is 3614 part ii: a fire door is a door or shutter provided for the
passage of persons, air or things which together with its frame and fixtures as
installed in a building, is intended when closed, to resist the passage of fire
or gaseous products of combustion and is capable of meeting specified
performance criteria to these ends. The major causes of loss of human lives
and materials is produced flame and its excess heat, toxic gases, smoke and
insufficient oxygen. Seple® fire door is the answer to these questions.

door frame
door frame of best quality seasoned hardwood of section 120mm x 60 mm
(nominal) with heat activated intumescent fire seal strips of min. (10x4 mm)
for smoke sealing, fixed on all three sides except the bottom. The frame
being suitable for mounting 60/120 minutes fire check shutters with one
coat of anti termite fire retardant primer.
Seple ® shutter
Seple® shutter a non-metallic, 45/55 mm thick, asbestos-free , fully insulated
composite fire and smoke check shutter of 60/120 minutes fire resistance rating
conforming to is: 3614 part ii / bs: 476 part 22, as per prototype, tested and
certified at national test house / cbri suitable for mounting on door frames,
comprising of non-combustible boards sandwitching the core of insulation
material of thickness 25/30 mm faced both side with fire retardant ply and
treated hard wood lipping on all around the shutters with heat-activated
intumescent fire-seal strip of size 10mm x 4 mm mounted in the grooves in
the shutter on all sides except bottom with standard quality hinges and one
coating of anti termite fire-retardant paint.
