Our emphasis has always been on latest technology and modem equipment. Our solvent extraction plants have been distinctly different from all others manufactured in this country. We were the first to manufacture a Desolventiser Toaster in this country, almosl two decade ahead of others. We were also the first to discard Ihe Rotary Absorber and opt for the packed column absorber for the Solvent Recovery System. Discarding the ejectors but still maintaining the necessary vacuum in the miscellance evaporation section was also a Servotech innovation. The use of heat exchanger practices for saving energy as standard equipment in all Extraction Plants was also a Servotech first.

Castor oil extraction plant is continuous and fully automatic, intended for medium and large scale processing a modern Desolventiser Toaster has always been a standard equipment in the Delux Plant. Indeed, we were the first to manufacture a DT in this country and adopt standard equipment in our "DELUX" Plants. Better desolventisation and biological value of meal is achieved by DT, apart from incorporation of more stable moisture.

In tropical countries, where cooling water temperatures are likely to be rather high, the solvent recovery system assumes great importance. We were Ihe first to recognize the limitations of the Rotary Absorber and discard it in favour of more modern packed-column absorber which has been chosen by all manufacturers of repute elsewhere in the world. The Tower Absorber achieve better surface to volume ratio and permits higher rates for circulation of absorbing medium for better recovery of solvent. As a further refinement, we have recently introduced a Final Condenser for Ihe vent gases cooled with refrigerated water which enables the recovery of about 50% of the solvent present in the vent gases before they enter the absorption system. The performance of the absorption system is thereby enhanced and loss of solvent in the vent gases is reduced to the minimum.

Refining oil have three basic processes in the refinery. First process is neutralizing the oil, which is then heated upto about 60°C by thermic fluid coils. The soap stock is formed due to chemical reaction which allowed to settle at the bottom of the neutralizer.

The oil is drawn into the next vessel, where colour of oil is removed. The oil is generally heated upto 110°C by thermic fluid coils.

The filter press seperates the bleaching earth and chemicals. Oil is heated above 110°C through thermic fluid coils and then live steam is given to the oil from the bottom steam nozzles and temperature of oil is raised through thermic fluid coils. Entire process is done under high vacuum. Thus smell is removed from the oil in the deodourizer.

In the vegetable oil refining plant, we were also the first to introduce modern distillative deacidification technique (Physical Refining). Totally eliminating caustic treatment with all its attendant advantages in India. We are the manufacturer of modern pressure leaf filtration systems in India.

Vanaspati is a substitute for Butter melted fat and is in great demand as the price of ghee is beyond the reach of most people. Vanaspati is our forte and we have built bur 25 Ton Plants in  Gujarat, one 50 Ton Plant in Bihar, one 15 Ton Plant in Kamataka and one 25 Ton Plant at Dor-Es-Salaam. Like all other plants, Servotech Vanaspati Plants have several distinguishing.

Hydrogen Gas Plants naturally from part of a hydrogenation system but we have supplied hydrogen gas plants alone To several other industries. Notable example are M/s. Coloiir-Chem Limited, Roha,   MA. Lamp Caps & Fibments Ltd., Nasik and  M/s. Powder Metals & Alloys Pvt. Ltd. Kudal, all in Maharashtra, Sandoz India Ltd. & Excell Industries Ltd. in Gujarat.

Milk, Butter, Ghee, Cheese, Eggs, Meats - Man's dependence on other forms of animal life is indeed remarkable. These animals have to be fed, the better the feed, the healthier and more productive the animals. Animal nutrition now a highly developed science and a lot of technology is involved. The optimum requirements not only for each type of animal or bird but also the same animal during different  stages of its life have   been determined. About 20% of animal body weight is composed of proteins, the rest being made up of fat, water and minerals. It is thus that animals require coniderable amount of protein in their diet. Most crops and grains,  the traditional feeding stuff contain only small proportion of protein and cannot possibly meet the requirements of the animal. The answer is a high protein supplement derived from by-products like oil cakes and a high protein supplement should be basically palatable and easily digestible. It should have non-toxic effect and should not stain the meat. It should have a high protein content and the protein should have the desired amono-acid spectrum. It should be consistent and uniform in quality and should be available at an economic price.
                                                                                                                       
The Servotech Feed Milling Plant is the most modern, efficient and economical unit available in the country today. Servotech has set up several such plants in India and one in Tanzania.

We have established a reputotion in handling turnkey projects for oil seed crushing in this country. Typical Examples are:

• Two world-bank assisted Cottonseed Complexes for Haryana State Co-operative Supply & Marketing Federation Limited, located at Ding and Ratio respectively.
• Three world-bank assisted cottonseed complex for the Maharashtra State Oil Seeds Commercial & Industrial Corporation Limited located at Parbhani, Hingoli and Gangakhed.
• A large integrated processing complex for M/s. Anand Taluka Co-operative Cotton Sale Ginning & Pressing Soc. Ltd., comprising cottonseed processing, ground-nut processing, soyabean processing plants and refinery were all handled by us on turnkey basis.

The three large vegetable oil and oilseeds processing complexes for the Gujarat Slate Oilseeds Growers Federation Limited fan associate of National Dairy Development Board at Junagadh, Jagudan & Idor have also been executed by us on turn-key basis. The 200 Tons Castor Seeds Processing Complex for M/s. Sri Krishna Oil Complex Ltd., Hyderabad is yet another example of our turn-key operation.
