The money flow has been designed to optimize efficiency and save energy of three phase induction motors. The money flow is an integrated controller that combines soft-starter, inherited power factor correction and energy saving in one device.

The money flow,built around our VFD technology, enables dynamic optimization of line voltage to assure that the only required energy is delivered to the controlled motor. This eliminates wasted electricity and saves energy.money flow systems are successfully deployed in a variety of commercial and industrial applications including HVAC, escalators, conveyors, mixers, grinders, and pumps.

The money flow starts the motor at reduced voltage to reduce start up current. Then, after 10 seconds, full voltage is supplied to the motor thereby ensuring the completion of the start up.

If the motor load is below a set level, as configured by the user, reduced, sinusoidal voltage will be supplied to the motor, whereby achieving the following:

• Line current reduction of 20% - 50%
• Reduction of power consumption of up to 25% (depending on the load)
• Reduction of conduction losses of 30% - 70%
• Improvement in Power Factor 15% - 60%
• KVA reduction of 15% - 50%
• KVAR reduction of 15% - 50%

If the motor load increases above the set level, full voltage will be supplied to the motor. In addition to direct energy savings, the money flow provides the following benefits:

• Optimizing voltage supply to the current motor workload, thus eliminating consumption of unnecessary energy
• Reducing startup current to 1.5 - 2.5 times the nominal. This results in less motor wearing and extends motor life expectancy
• Eliminating installation of a soft-starter and power factor correction devices.

FLOWS OF ENERGY SAVING

• MEC detects the operating load condition of a motor in a moment by monitoring the phase lag between current and input voltage.(part A)
• According to load information, MEC’S control curcuit (part B) signals SCR(part C) to cut back the voltage to the exact level the motor needs.
• As a result of voltage drop, current is reduced, power factor is improved, thus electric energy consumption of a motor is decreased.
