The marketing outlet for member artisans from craft co-operatives is promoted by SEWA(Self Employment Women's Association). It provides regular employment and helps to preserve traditional skills through cooperative efforts for self-reliance eliminating the middleman. Marketing as a concept is applicable not only to products, but also to services, organisation and ideas. To be commercially viable the cooperatives have to compete with markets trends. This is true of artisans as much as vendors, agricultural producers and those who sell their own labour. The federation assist the artisans in marketing, helps them in conservation ad development of their products. Similarly the federation facilitates vendors and farmers to buy and sell at the Agriculture Producers Marketing Committee eliminating the middle agencies. SEWA KALAKRUTI The federation provides two retail outlets as SEWA Kalakruti No. 1 at Goyal Tower and SEWA Reception Centre for the member artisan products. Kalakruti is a concept of collective marketting to mainstream the products of women artisan's cooperatives eliminating the middle man. the premise has display facilities, exhibition arrangements and has effectively laid out counters with customers service. It also servers as a meeting center for artisans and their customers to negotiate and formalize orders, linking them with varied marketing possibilities. Local, national and intenational exhibitions are also organized by the marketing cells.
