Indian Turmeric Powder is produced by grinding the properly cleaned, graded and polished turmeric fingers. In the polishing process the upper layer of the turmeric fingers gets peeled off. If turmeric fingers are grinded as its is without any polish there will be black spots visible in the powder which will not be the case if the fingers are polished before grinding
