Testing Instruments

Impact Tester

We provide Izod and Charpy impact tester that is used to test rubber and plastic material as per ASTM D-256 standards. It checks the ability of plastics and electrical insulating materials to withstand breakage by flexural shock. This is indicated by energy extracted from standardized pendulum type hammers that are generally mounted on standardized machines that breaks standard specimens with pendulum swing. This energy that is absorbed per unit of specimen width is measured in joules.

Melt Flow Index Tester

The melt flow index tester provided by us is used to measure rate of extrusion of molten resins. This test is conducted with the help of a die of specified length and diameter and set conditions are maintained in terms of temperature, load and piston position.

The test conform to ASTM D 1238 - 95 standards. It is provided with digital stop watch, temperature controller (PID), piston, orifice remover, barrel cleaner, orifice cleaner, scoop and combined weight of 2.16 Kgs. and 5.0 Kgs.

VICAT Tester

We provide VICAT, HDT tester that are used to test temperature. Our range of Vicat Softening Temp conform to ASTM D1525 and helps in determining the temperature at which a standard indenter penetrates 1mm into the surface of a plastic test specimen under one of the loads. This test is conducted under specific uniform rate of heating.

The HDT apparatus tests deflection temperature of plastic under flexural load and the test is conducted as per ASTM D-648. This tester evaluates the temperature at which an arbitrary deformation transpires when plastics are subjected to arbitrary bending loads and constantly rising temperature conditions.

Oxygen Tester

Our range of oxygen index tester performs tests as per the ASTM D-2863 standards. In this method of testing the minimum concentration of oxygen in a flowing mixture of oxygen and nitrogen is measured that just amounts to support flaming combustion.

For oxygen and nitrogen measurement besides rotameter, our oxygen meter can also specify direct oxygen percentage digitally in the oxygen and nitrogen mixture. We provide heater, temperature controller and sensor for doing temperature index.

Density Tester

We offer smoke density tester that determines the density of smoke during burning or decomposition of plastics.

It measures the relative amount of smoke obscuration produced by burning or decomposition of plastic and also determines the smoke producing characteristics of plastic under regulated combustion or decomposition conditions. We also observe the loss of light transmission through a collected volume of smoke that is produced under restricted and standardized conditions.

Gas Tester

Halogen acid gas tester provided by us is used to measure the amount of halogen acid gas and hydrofluoric acid circulated during the burning of compounds. Environment Tester

Our range of tester includes environmental stress cracking tester that is available as per ASTM-D 1693. This is suitable for measurement of susceptibility of ethylene plastics to environmental stress cracking during various conditions. For this bent specimen of plastics with regulated imperfections on its surface are subjected to come in contact with the actions of surface active agent, oils or detergent. At a given time the proportion of total number of specimen that cracks is evaluated.
