Panchakarma
As a name; Pancha means five and karma means procedures; it includes five procedures. Viz. Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya & Raktamokshan alongwith preprocedures of Snehan & Swedan. All these procedures are designed to remove garbages accumulated in the body over the years.
- Snehan : Oiling (Internally & Externally)
- Swedan : Steam treatment
- Vaman : Removal of abnormal kapha
- Virechan : Removal of abnormal pitta
- Basti : Removal of abnormal vata
- Nasya: Removal of garbage in E.N. T & head region
- Raktamokshan : Removal of contaminated blood.
