The air-cooled equipment may look very simple, a finned surface heat exchanger, a fan, a motor enclosed in the sheet metal encloser, But most important factor is understanding the application in which it is used. If the understanding of the application is not done in a proper way, the simple looking technology can go for a very complicated solutions.

To design and manufacture a good working air-cooled heat exchanger, three things are very essential. First is understanding of application, Second is to design the system to suit the environment, third is the proper kind of tooling to create what have been well thought of.
At Shur-Kut, We have very well acquired the experience from our past applications. With the different environments the product design changes. Like a rice mill uses the steam heating coils, same as the tea industry, but the environment is totally different. Rice mills are usually placed in open, the dust keeps on coming from left and right, whereas in the tea industry the dust problem is not as critical as rice. Therefore when we are selecting the equipment for both the industries, we have to take care of the dust problem in our mind. Same things are applicable for the dry coolers. With more requirement of power most of the companies are going for their own capacitive power plants. Every industry needs power, whether it is a spinning mill, a software company, or a steel rolling plant. All of them need it. The dry coolers that are used for spinning mill can not be the same as that of computer software companies. Spinning mills emits more fluff that goes and sticks to the surface of the dry coolers and will choke the heat exchanger. This problem is not there in the software company. The software companies are the process of thinking, yes thinking, they don't emit fluff, they don't emit pollution like steel plants. They need peaceful environment. Pin drop silence. but they need power also and power is noise. Therefore the dry coolers are being used for the diesel engines should have the least noise.
