For ‘Above Knee Amputees’, a tapered shape is required so that the ‘FIT’ is Wrinkle Free and Comfortable under the Socket. It is being developed in 100% Cotton for total comfort in the tropical climates (like INDIA) and will be available to the users in very near future.

The piled version is specially designed to meet the exacting requirements of the user. Due to its sensitive role, Stump Socks are made from Pure Cotton Fibre that is totally compatible with human skin. In order to avoid thick stitched joint at the Distal End, we use a special technique to provide a very thin Non-Hurting joining-line that does not bite on the Load-Bearing area of the Stump. It has variable expansion and right contours to comfortably fit the stump.

While Cotton Bandage is commonly used as a barrier, it imparts uneven pressure on the injured area. On the other hand more enlightened practitioners prefer to use correct size of 'Cotton Stockinette', as this does not induce undue pressure while providing perfect coverage of skin.

Elasticated Bandage, also commonly referred to as "TubiGrip", is a tubular elastic bandage made out of the finest cotton & rubber yarns.

Stockinette is produced in two basic varieties, namely Cotton and Synthetic materials. Each variety has its specific applications for fabrication of socket for Artificial Limbs and Corrective Orthosis. Details are mentioned as under:

Synthetic Stockinette is specifically meant for lamination purposes in the Prosthetic and Rehabilitation areas. It must impart a Spring-Back to the fabric hose, and hence permit the stockinette to hug the cast closely for uniform thickness of shell.

In order to reinforce the composite socket (for Artificial Limbs) Cotton is used along with synthetic resin. The stockinette is produced out of Best Quality Cotton Yarn of appropriate texture that imparts a Spring-Back to the fabric hose. This permits the stockinette to hug the cast closely for uniform thickness of shell. As an innovative product we have introduced "Skin Colour" Stockinette also. This eliminates the need for using pigment while making the socket and thereby provides much better finish and economy.
