The automatic duplex deburring & chamfering tool, in one go, deburrs and produces a chamfer in a drilled hole both at the top as well as at the bottom. No change either in the spindle speed or in the direction of spindle rotation or in the job set-up is required. The tool can be deployed immediately after drilling. Neither manual interruption nor special operational skills are required at any stage of its use.

Two lipped counter bore tools offer several advantages. They are generally offered with easily available, standard throwaway indexable carbide inserts, which facilitate optimum utilization of 4 cutting edges in an insert. Carbide inserts facilitates heavy material removal. Insert with chip breaker facilitate faster chip evacuation. Chips smoothly flow out through the well designed gashes on the tool shank.
Twin cutting edges of the counter bore / spot facing tool, together with the guiding pilot, act as the balancing factors while performing heavy material removal, especially in deep counter bores. This factor, in turn, will ensure good surface finish and accuracy, repeatedly.
Pilots are generally detachable type, which permit the use of different dia of pilots for the same dia of counter bore. This feature also enables an easy replacement of damaged /worn-out pilots. However, smaller counter bore tools are offered with integral pilots.
The body of the tool and the pilot are made of case hardened steel, case hardened and ground.
The front spot facing tools are offered with any type of holding shank – straight (cylindrical) shank, to suit your existing side lock holders or with morse taper, to suit the spindles of your drilling machine. Any other tapers can also be provided.
