Shivam Foundation is a bouquet of seven companies running their operations for about last four decades. Today Shivam group proudly announces about one of its most beautiful flower called SHIVAM FOUNDATION (established. On 10th.May/2006) located at Kolkata West Bengal.
The social activities started from 1960, where the founder chair person Late Dr.Ajay Kr. Banerjee developed PANAGARH BAZAR FREE PRIMARY SCHOOL at Burdwan district, West Bengal where a major part of students are getting their regular education.
The success of first step encouraged to provide land and building construction of PANAGARH LIONS CLUB in the year 1980 and signed its contribution in the development of MANKAR COLLEGE at Burdwan district, West Bengal.
SHIVAM FOUNDATION with a strong determination to develop the people who lives below the poverty level has taken a major role in helping the poor girls to get married through the MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY THE ORGANIZATION OF LATE MOTHER TERESSA SINCE 2007.It is now taking major role in the field of education and the organization isaffiliated to the KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY & MANONMANIAM SUNDARANAR UNIVERSITY , to develop the education of the Country.

All of us are aware that education is the base on which a person’s career depend. That is the reason, through Shivam Foundation I want to strengthen and improve the quality of education.

About M.S. University
Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was established on 7 September, 1990, as per the Act 31 of 1990 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, as a Teaching-cum-affiliating University. The University caters to the needs of three southern districts of Tamil Nadu viz. Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari.
Dr. M. Karunanidhi, the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had formally inaugurated the University. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is the youngest of all Universities in India. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC). The University is located in a campus of 550 acres at Abishekapatti (on Tirunelveli-Tenkasi Road) at a distance of 8 kilometers from Tirunelveli.
There are 24 Academic Departments in the University besides the Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education and Community College Directorate. Sri Paramakalani Centre for Environmental Sciences is functioning at Alwarkurchi, and the centre for marine Science and Technology at Rajakkamangalam.
One of the important wings of the University is the community college. The Community college Directorate offers one year Diploma Courses. It also offers many Diploma and Certificate Courses through Extension Learning Programme.
About eighty thousand students are studying in the various University Departments and the eighty affiliated colleges including two constituent colleges.
