Proximity Switches

EDP-301 two wire AC version are available in size K12, K14 and M12 are suitable for 90V - 145V.AC or 145V - 250V.AC supply and can operate a contactor coil when used in series with 2 wires

Non-Contact Infrared Thermometers

Shivam Electronics offer a wide range of non-contact infrared thermometers manufactured by Raytek Corp., USA. These thermometers are used for immediate and accurate temperature measurement ranging from -32 to 3000°C. They have unique sighting options such as lasers, circular laser and telescope to view the target under measurement, Accurate measurement upto 0.5% can be made from a long distance from the target. Certain models have built-in data logging with analogue and RS232 outputs to interface with the computer, and use-friendly Windows software from complete plant thermal analysis.

Light Curtains

The light curtains offered by us are also known by the name of light screens, optical guards and presence sensing devices. These emit a "curtain" of infrared light beams in front of the hazardous area being protected. These guard areas many meters wide, and can be diverted around corners using mirrors.

Working Principle:

A photoelectric transmitter projects an array of synchronized, parallel infrared light beams to a receiver unit
When an opaque object interrupts one or more beams, the light curtain controller sends a stop signal to the guarded machine
The transmitter unit contains light emitting diodes (LEDs) that emit pulses of invisible infrared light when energized by the light curtains timing and logic circuitry
Light pulses are both sequenced (one LED after another) and modulated (pulsed at a specific frequency)
The receiver unit contains photo transistors and supporting circuitry to detect only the specific pulse and the frequency designated for it
