The membrane bioreactor (MBR) is a recent but increasingly utilized technology for treating municipal and high organic industrial wastewater by combining the highly efficient separation technology of hollow fiber membranes with a compact activated sludge process. Although the technical application of the aerobic MBR process can be traced back 1970’s, it has only become widely used commercially in the realm of wastewater treatment in the past 10 years. The liquid solid separation by membrane replaces the conventional settling process and effectively removes suspended and organic solids producing bacteria and free water. MBR allows for the activated sludge to be maintained at much higher levels of mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) than conventional systems and because of the membrane interface, bacteria are retained longer within the activated sludge enhancing the decomposition of the organic matter. MBR is a modern, highly effective water treatment system that can deal with the ever increasing demands of municipal waste water quality and increasing treatment volumes. Standard housings are offered in SS 304, SS 316 and MS (either in epoxy painted or PP/rubber lined). In order to meet specification of pharma industry and to meet latest gmp requirement all our housings meant for sanitary, applications are provided with mirror finish on both, sides and are also electro polished to 240 grit finish wherever such a finish is called for. 1) Easy Operation and Low Maintenance Cost Clog-resistant: Noodle type membrane design. • Easy inspection: as membrane modules are noodle type • The membrane-based solids-liquid separation ensures easy maintenance hence no need to pay attention to Sludge control and sedimentation. • Periodical maintenance for membrane is only one cleaning by dosing chemical solution once in three (3) Months. • Operation and maintenance for MBR is very simple. 2) Space saving (Low footprint) • Operating with a high concentration of Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS), the MBR process requires only a smaller reaction tank and does not require settling tank or sludge thickening tank. MBBR Technology The Canadian Clear "Silver Stream" industrial WWTP technology systems are based on the Canadian Clear High-Speed bio-degradation and sedimentation technology which is unique due to its compactness and performance in respect of volumetric efficiency. These technologies are combined in a prefabricated, skid mounted or containerized tank system with variable length, which is mobile / compact and easy to transport anywhere.
The skid mounted system is designed for indoor installation with proper ventilation. The machinery is placed uncovered on the skid at one end. The units can also be placed outdoor under shelter with natural ventilation.
These units are transported in ISO freightcontainers and are manufactured in lengths from 20 to 40 feet.
Canadian Clear Site Mounted Systems
Canadian Clear "Silver Stream" MBBR system comes complete with one or two bio-reactors and one clarifier tank. They are best suited for medium organic loads and strict effluent requirements and fit for direct discharge to the environment.
Any combination of hydraulic and organic load can be accommodated by using multiple container plants with standard containers in parallel or customized containers in series.
