Orifice Plate

The cheapest & most commonly used primary element.

Can be used with flange, corner & D D/2 tape. Pipes I. D. 25 mm to 1000 m. For pipe I. D. 25 mm to 50 mm only corner taps are recommended. Minimum Reynold’s No. is 5000. There is no upper limit for pipe Reynold’s no.

Flange material can be forged carbon, stainless steel, alloy steel. Flanges of WNRF, WNRTJ, SORF & SWRF can be offered.

Usually pipe sizes of 25 mm to 40 mm are supplied with meter runs

Used for pipe Reynold’s No. as low as 80.Only corner taps are recommended

As the name suggest the up stream face has a profile of quarter of circle. Used for metering viscous fluids. Pipe Reynold’s No. 500 to 60000. Corner taps are used for pipe I. D. of 25 mm to 40m. For higher sizes flange or corner taps are used

In this plate the orifice is eccentric with respect to the pipe. These plates are used for liquids with sediments or for gases with suspended liquid molecules. As per ISO-5167 only corner are used
