Manufactured out of suitable Rubber Compound reinforced with impregnated Woven Textile Piles or Rayon Yarn Braiding. Type 1 & II are for general water delivery. Type III A & III B are for high pressure supper spray-car washing purposes.

1. Rough Top / GriP Face :
This belt, provided with cushiony and anti-slippery effects due to its soft rugged surface for transporting fragile or deformable materials and packed goods.
2. Jointless Conveyor Belting :
This belt has been highly acclaimed especially when they are used as telescopic or feed belts or weighing and packing belt, it can be driven over narrow pulley diameter (even lower than 100 mm) at the speed of 25 M/sec.
3. Reel Conveyor Belting (Jointless Belting) :
Moulded radius on the top surface provides the reel for steady handling. Reel Conveyors are suitable for conveying paper-reel, barrel, etc.
4. Belts with sidewalls :
Belts with side walls have a very specific function to perform. They are mainly used for zero spillage, fast and bulk material handling.

Wrapped Classical Section V-belts

Darwin Plus banded belts are made up from Classical, Wedge or Narrow belts with a strong tie band over them. Each band may contain the reuired number of belts, maximum upto 6 belts in one tie band depending on the drive conditions.

Applications:

Darwin Plus banded belts are recommended on drives under the conditions of:

Severe vibrations, Agricultural drives, Vertical shaft drives, Conveyor systems, V-flat drives, Crushers, Compressors, Generator Sets, Pumps etc.

While using banded belts it is always recommended to use standard pulleys with proper guard only. The proper belt setting can only be achieved if the pitch distances maintained for the belts and for the pulleys used are same. Harvester (Vari-speed) Belts

Applications:

Hexagonal belts finds its application in the drives where several pulleys in the same plane are to be driven in the clockwise and anti-clockwise direction simultaneously. The polyester tension cord placed at the centre of the construction provides the belt extreme flexibility and low stretch properties. It is because of this positioning of the cord the same is not subjected to any other forces as in this case of normal V-belts. Double V-belts normally finds its application in machines, rice mills and agricultural machines. However of late these belts are rapidly finding its application in industrial drives.

Drive Calculation:

Drive calculations for double V-belts differ from the drive calculations for two pulley drives. The effective lengths, rotational speeds, transmission ratios & belt speeds are determined by the effective pulley diameters. We request our customers to get back to us for assistance in using these belts. The maximum permissible belt speed is 30 m/s.

Dimensions:

For all practical purposes the length of the Hexagonal (Double) V-belts is considered as the effective length which is roughly the belt length at the centre.

Specially top layer: Specially designed top layer of the belt has better ozone resistance characteristics and hence reduces the chances of cracking due to flexing.

Tough Tensile member for greater strength: Specially treated stabilized polyester cord provides high tensile strength with minimum stretch which gives Darwin Plus belts superior resistance to fatigue and shock loads.

Oil & Heat resistant: Polychloroprene used in the Darwin Plus belts provides the oil and heat resistance properties to the belt, which helps the belts to better resist Ozone, sunlight, weather and ageing.

Moulded Cogs: Moulded cogs allow the Raw Edge belts to operate even over smaller diameter pulleys at high speeds. the cogs also help in reducing the bending stress apart from providing the higher surface area for proper heat dissipation.

Polychloroprene cushion rubber compound: this compound results in the best possible bond between the base compound, the tension member (polyester cord) & the rubber impregnated fabric top surface that results in long service of the belt without cord separation and delayering of the belt.

Fibre filled Polychloroprene base compound: results in increased power transmission capability, higher transverse stiffness & high wear resistance.

Speed ratios upto 1:14 are possible while using V-belts of Raw Edge Cogged construction.
