NONIONIC OIL SOLUBLE WETTING, DISPERSING AND EMULSIFYING AGENT

Properties
solubility in water at 20 deg. C. TO less than 0.01 percent
2.soluble in butyl acetate, butyl cellusolve , vegetable oils white mineral oils, stoddard solvent, and kerosene and commonly used aliphatic solvent, toluene , chlorinated hydrocarbon , solvents , dibutyl phthalate, and iso propanol.

Despersible in ethylene glycol.
3.excellent oil soluble wetting and dispersing agent for grinding pigments in oil medium.

4.good emulsifier for preparing water –in- oil emulsions of aliphatic hydrocarbons .Is
Useful as a co- emulsifier to increase the emulsifying power of the emulsifiers giving oil-
in- water type emulsions and also as a coupling agent to increase their solubility in vegetable and mineral oils and solvents.

5. Is non-inflammable and non-irritant and has no disagreeable odour.


Applications
1.oil soluble wetting and dispersing agent for the preparation of oil paints, inks, and varnishes. Use of NOIGEN PA-40 helps to decrease the time of grinding and to give more stable formulations.
2.co- emulsifier and coupling agent to increase the efficiency of the emulsifiers giving oil-in-water emulsions and increase their solubility in oils and solvents.

Suggestions for use
1.wetting and dispersing agent: 0.1 to 0.5 percent of the oil medium.
2.co-emulsifier and coupling agent: 7 to12 percent of the emulsifier giving oil-in-water emulsion.
