Ammonia Liquor

Liquor stands for liquid state of matter particularly in Chemistry and pharmaceutical science. Wine industry also use this word for various liquid things in process and products. Ammonia is a gas in normal condition. It can be liquefied either by pressure or lowering the temperature to its melting point / liquification point. But this liquid is equally difficult to handle and gas occupies very large volumes. So ammonia is dissolved in pure water - more then 1300 volumes per unit volume of water, some times using moderate pressure. This +70 % ammonia solution is termed as liquor ammonia in chemistry and many applications.
