Dodital is believed to be the land of Shiva, and so it is frequented by pilgrims from all over India. We at Shubh Yatra Travels, covering duration of 8 Days, this mild trek is arranged for adventure seekers and ardent nature lovers. The forest surrounding the lake at Dodital is also full of wildlife. It provides an idyllic set up for rest and recreational activities like angling, boating, nature watch and bird watching.
From Dodital, it is a two-Day trek to Hanumanchatti via Darwa Top. Darwa Top provides a majestic view of the Garhwal Himalayas.
Yamunotri: At an altitude of 10,805 ft, Yamunotri, the source of the sacred Yamuna River is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttaranchal, close to the Indo-Chinese border near the Bandarpunch peak. The Yamuna emerges form a frozen lake of ice and glaciers on the Kalinda Parvat at 14, 502 ft.
