Simran Singh, the principal consultant at SSA has over 20 years of experience in the industry having worked with Bata, Madura Garments, Littlewoods (now Westside) and independent retail consulting. As Marketing Manager, she helped set up the operations of Littlewoods International in India. As Simran is currently visiting faculty of Retailing and Brand Management at the N.I.F.T. New Delhi and at NID, Ahmedabad. Her articles on retail and fashion have been published in The Economic Times, Business Standard and other prestigious publications. A chapter authored by her on the India opportunity is being published in a book by the International Trade Center (Geneva). Simran is the founder and chief editor of ‘Retail Angle’ a retail newsletter that goes out to over 100,000 people in the industry.
In the years since inception, SSA has consulted with a variety of businesses that include national and regional chain store retailers, apparel and lifestyle brands, overseas retailers and service providers with an interest in India, industry bodies, and International agencies like the International Trade center (Geneva) and Development Alternatives (Washington). SSA’s success lies in its in-depth understanding of the Indian market and the ability to combine strategy with execution.
