Boiler Sand / Bed material

The boiler sand that we supply for F.B.C operation is dust free(SUPER WASHED)dry and carry over is minimum because of correct sizing of bed material, as compared to any other bed material for F.B.C. operation. It is largely used in the boilers that are operating on HUSK / COAL / PET COKE.

Size of bed material:-
FOR HUSK 0.5mm to 1.5mm
FOR COAL 1.0mm to 2.0mm
FOR PET COKE 2.0mm to 3.0mm

Silica Sand

Silicon is the most abundant element on the earth's surface and in the form of silica is consumed in a great number of industrial uses.
  • Silica has many industrial applications in abrasives and polishes, in glass manufacture, fillers and extenders, silica brick manufacture, as a catalyst, in specialty coatings, cleansers, ceramics, electronics, optics and refractories, in ferro-silicon manufacture, rubber, and as a frac sand.
  • Processing of silica of specific quality yields several types of specialty silicas. These include colloidal, fumed, fused, high purity ground, silica gel, and precipitated silica.
  • Colloidal silica is mainly used as a high temperature binder for silicon wafer polishing and carbonless paper.Fumed silica has unique strength, thixotropic properties and flatting properties, is a valuable ingredient in rubber, plastics, coatings, cement and sealants.
  • Fused silica is produced by fusion of very high quality silica sand feedstock in electric arc and resistance furnaces. The resulting product is very different from the original silica sand due to the extremely high quality, consistent chemistry, high resistance to thermal shock and low thermal conductivity. It is therefore suitable as a filler for electronic encapsulants, refractory and investment castings and specialty coatings.
  • Silica gel is an extremely pure, porous, and amorphous form of silica known for a high degree of internal surface area, hardness, uniformity and chemical inertness. Its ability to absorb liquids makes it valuable in a wide variety of applications including catalysts, anticaking agents in food and pharmaceutical products, desiccants, cosmetics, plastics, specialty coatings, paper and adhesives.
  • Precipitated silica is another type of specialty silica which is mainly used as a reinforcing agent in tire compounds.

Feldspar

Feldspar is a group of mineral silicates of much importance as rock-constituents. Feldspar is much used in the manufacture of porcelain by reason of its fusibility. We manufacture and supply felspar, which is pure, and natural that cater to the needs of various industries. Its an abundant group of rock-forming minerals which constitute 60% of the earth's crust. Chemically the feldspars are silicates of aluminum, containing sodium, potassium, iron, calcium, or barium or combinations of these elements. Feldspar is found in association with all rock types, including granite, gneiss, basalt, and other crystalline rocks, and are essential constituents of most igneous rocks. Feldspar minerals are essential components in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, to such an extent that the classification of a number of rocks is based upon feldspar content. The mineralogical composition of most feldspars can be expressed in terms of the ternary system Orthoclase (KAlSi3O8), Albite (NaAlSi3O8) and Anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8). Chemically, the feldspars are silicates of aluminium, containing sodium, potassium, iron, calcium, or barium or combinations of these elements.

Soap Stone
Soap Stone

Soapstone (also known as steatite or soaprock) is a metamorphic rock, a talc-schist. It is largely composed of the mineral talc and is rich in magnesium. It is produced by dynamo thermal metamorphism, which occurs at the areas where tectonic plates are subducted, changing rocks by heat and pressure, with influx of fluids, but without melting. It has been a medium for carving for thousands of years

Current Uses:

In addition to soapstone’s traditional uses, it is currently used for stair treads, balusters, sills, island tops and mixing bowls. Because of its unparalleled heat retention characteristics, it is the perfect choice for cookware, cook tops, oven floors, masonry heaters and fireplace liners. After soapstone is initially heated from burning wood, pellets or coal, it slowly radiates the heat evenly for hours – even after the fire is out. Soapstone can also be used for carving and sculpture.

Bentonite Powder

Bentonite is a clay mineral which is largely composed of Montmorillonite, which is mainly a hydrous aluminum silicate. It is a highly colloidal and plastic clay with the unique characteristic of swelling to several times its original volume when placed in water. Mining then begins by removing the overburden from the mineral deposit with the use of large earth movers. The overburden is then stockpiled nearby for reclamation after the bentonite has been removed from the bed. When contact with the bed is made, extreme care is taken to avoid contaminating the mineral deposit with the overburden, thus insuring the highest quality raw material. Care must also be taken to conserve as much bentonite as possible when trimming the overburden from the bentonite. When all the bentonite has been removed from the bed, reclamation can begin. The surface of the mine site must be returned to equal or superior condition. The habitat for plant and animal is very important as are all other environmental considerations.

Processing :

The bentonite from each bed is stockpiled and thoroughly tested to insure the highest quality for all our products. It is then carefully dried and ground to meet all the product specifications. The finished product is stored in silos to await packaging and shipping to our customers.

Quality Control :

Bentonite is thoroughly tested throughout the mining, processing and shipping stages to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to every customer. Samples of all our products and laboratory results are available to all our customers and potential or perspective customers.

Uses :

Bentonite is very popular in the metal casting industry, where it is used as a bonding material for molding processes. When Bentonite is mixed with certain types of molding sands, a bond is formed that can withstand very high temperatures.
