Sky Comm Technologies was developed by Mr.Uma Mahesh Munirathnam a native of Tenali, the 25 year old has devised a novel device, which could help you nab burglars sitting in any part of the world.


"It's a wireless-based security system with an auto-dialer. All you need to do is fix this GSM (Global System for Mobiles) security mode in the area you wish to be under your constant vigil, be it your home, office or even your car. Ensure that your mobile number is fed into the security system. The system signals presence of an intruder through your mobile. If the target of invasion is your vehicle, the system enables you to switch the ignition off. Uma Mahesh secured the patent rights for his product in November 2001.


Though born in Tenali, he grew up in Chennai where he completed in Computer Technology before opting for a B.E degree. He than did his Post-Graduate Diploma in Very Large-Scale Integration Design (VLSID) from C-DAC, Bangalore.


Fascinated by electronic gadgets, he had always nurtured a secret desire to develop a device that could be of some use to the public. "The day I learnt about a theft in my neighborhood and how the security system they owned proved to be a disaster, I knew what I should be doing next", he says, explaining how burglars had managed to make his neighbor's security device dysfunctional by snapping telephone cables. "To overcome the drawback, I developed this wireless system," he says, with gleam in his eyes.
