• Case and lid are of MS sheet thus suitable for use in places demanding a robust apparatus.

We manufacture Oil Immersed Stator-Rotor Starters that are designed for use on Voltages up to 550 Volts. H.P. 330 HP. These starters comprise of separate Stator Controlling OCB and Rotor Controller mounted on the same base frame made of galvanized steel making it durable and efficient in working. We offer these at very affordable prices.

Operating Mechanism :

• Is interlocked with Rotor Controller and the OCB cannot be switched ON until and unless the full external resistances are inserted in the circuit
  
• The Rotor Controller and OCB are connected strictly as per the circuit diagram
  
• The OCB is closed by putting the handle to "ON" position
  
• The push button provided with the Rotor Controllers is kept pressed till the resistance cutting "wheel" of the Rotor Controller is rotated to full "ON" position.
  

Contacts :

• The Stator Controlling OCB's are provided with heavy type copper contacts to ensure a trouble free life
  
• The contacts are made from hard drawn electrolytic copper strips
  
• Each unit is provided with two sets of contacts : arcing contact and main contact
  
• The arcing contacts make before and break after the main contacts, thus confining burning to the arcing contacts
  
• The main contact scarcely calls for replacement where as the arcing contact can be replaced very easily
  

Protection:

• Overload Protection - is of magnetic type with oil dash pot time lag arrangement in all three phases.
  
• Under Voltage Protection - is provided by a closing type solenoid coil.
  

Accessories:

• Are generally provided with incoming and outgoing cable entry plates
  
• Cable boxes for paper insulated cables, fully interlocked isolator and ammeter can also be provided, on request
  

Rotor Controller:

• Is designed to comply with latest IS for use in Rotor Circuit of A.C. Slipring Motor
  
• Adequately rated resistance wires are selected as per the current at various steps and are robust in design
  
• The Rotor resistance is based on the Rotor Volts and Rotor Amps of the Motor
  
• The cutting off resistances are achieved by the rotation of CAM operated "wheel" and this provides smooth starting of the motor.
  

Special Features:

Foolproof interlocks are provided in the Starter as per the following :

• The Motor can be started only when full Rotor resistance is in the Rotor Circuit. Otherwise the Stator controlling OCB will not close.
  
• The motor cannot be left running with rotor resistance in the circuit. If by any chance the rotor resistance is left in the circuit the starter will trip no sooner the push button on the rotor controller is released.
  

We supply our top quality automatic air break star delta starters type CSD/A for starting of squirrel cage induction motors. These comply to BSS 775 and BSS 587 and are suitable for 40 starts per hour. The product is offered at reasonable prices.

Construction:

• Totally enclosed, in a deep-drawn sheet metal casing, wall mounting type, suitably gasketted to make it dust proof
  
• The entire starter assembly (which is mounted on a steel plate) can be taken out of the casing by removing four screws only.
  
• Maintenance is facilitated by taking the interior out for repair while a spare interior can be inserted.
  

Rating:

• The automatic star delta starters are ideal for controlling motors upto 40 HP at 400/440 volts or 500/550 volts
  
• Adjustable Timer is incorporated for automatic changeover from Star to Delta.
  

Protection:

• Are provided with magnetic type overload releases with an adjustable oil dashpot time lag device on all the three phases
  
• The magnetic overload device, which works on the magnetic principle of current, is totally independent of the ambient temperature, provides a positive and direct protection to the motor
  
• Non-aging properties inherent to the magnetic overload device ensures the same protection to the motor even after years of service
  
• Can also be fitted with thermal type bi-metallic overload releases with temperature compensation devices
  
• The overload device is of the Hand-Resetting type which is an essential feature where remote control is required.
  
• The under voltage protection is inherent
  

Control:

• Start and Stop/Reset Push Buttons are provided on the front cover
  
• Remote control terminals are also provided for remote operation by means of limit switch, float switch, pressure switch or a separate push button unit.
  

Isolator:

• A rotary type triple pole air break isolating switch can be provided on starters, the operation of which is interlocked with the lid of the starter
  
• Ensures that the starter lid cannot be opened till the isolator is in the OFF position.
  

Cable arrangements:

• Units are provided with entries for conduit connections
  
• Sealing boxes can be provided for underground paper-insulated cables.
  

Earthing:

• Double earthing terminals are provided.
  

Timer:

• Special current activated change-over Timer ensures transition from Star to Delta at approximately the rated current of the motor only, irrespective of the transition time which depends on the drive
  
• This leads to no wear on the contacts due to transition kicks.
  

We supply fully automatic combined stator and rotor starters type PRS that comprise of an air break contactor with over current and under voltage protection for the stator and set of accelerating contactor along with automatic timing devices. These enable the motor to run up-to the speed in a pre-determined time. These are manufactured to conform to IS : 13947 Part-1 section 4 quality standards and are normally suitable for 15 operations per hour.

Contactor: Air break contractor confirming AC III

Timers: Electronic timers to adjust no of steps and time delays.

Overload Relay:

• Can be provided with either electro-magnetic oil dash pot time lag over current release or bimetallic type thermal relays
  
• Give the necessary inverse time characteristics for protecting the connected equipment
  

Resistance unit:

• Can be either of nichrome round or fiat strip or cast stainless steel grids
  
• Stainless steel grids are given for units above 100 HP
  
• Wire wound resistances are supplied fro lower HP
  

Controls:

• Start, Stop and Reset push buttons, are provided on the front cover
  
• Terminals are also provided for remote operation by outside signals.
  

Isolator:

• Can be fitted quick make and quick break isolators
  
• Its operation can be interlocked with the front cover.
  

Instruments and Cable Arrangements:

• Provision is made for mounting metering instruments
  
• Blank gland plates are provided for fixing cable glands
  

Rating:

• Standard ratings are up 40 HP  to 400 HP at 415V and 2000 HP at 6.6KV
  
• Specific details regarding rotor volts and rotor currents should be supplied with the inquiries.
