Soliton provides power supply along with the camera for camera link cameras, free of cost. In case of firewire cameras, the power input to the camera is provided through the firewire cable. The power supply for camera link cameras is 12 vdc with 4-pin hirose connector.

Some of our machine vision cameras provide a separate connector for the trigger input that could come from an encoder or proximity sensor. This cable can be bought directly from soliton.

Almost all our cameras have a c mount lens adapter. Standard c mount lenses are directly compatible and f mount lenses may be used along with an f to c mount adaptor. The optical format of the lens chosen should be equal to, or greater than, the optical format specified for the camera. please refer to the camera datasheet for the details. We can recommend/sell lenses that will be both compatible with our cameras and suitable for your application.

The data cable would be either camera link or ieee 1394 (firewire), which are both industry standards. Any cable that meets the standard can be used with our cameras. Alternately, soliton can supply the necessary cables.

Soliton supplies camera link frame grabbers and ieee 1394 (firewire) cards from reputed manufacturers that are compatible with our cameras.
