Helical Gears Our range of helical gears have been high in demand owing to its excellent durability and high load capacity. The teeth on the helical gears are cut at an angle to the face of the gear and as a result when the teeth gradually gets into action with the gears it works efficiently, producing much lesser noise in comparison to the spur gears. This is the reason, helical gears are preferred to spurs to be used in the car transmissions.
The angle of the teeth on helical gears results in the formation of a thrust load on the gear, which is the reason devices with helical gears possess bearings for extending support to the same. |
