Driven with a mission to provide healthy and cost effective water solutions to the water scarce rural and urban areas of the world, we, at Span Pumps Private Limited, are engaged in Manufacture high performance and cost effective deepwell hand pumps and afridev hand pumps. Since our inception in 1987, we have been Supplying and Exporting UNICEF approved Hand Pumps to the whole India and various other countries to address local irrigation and potable water needs.

Empowered with advanced technical knowledge and tate-of-the-art infrastructure, we have successfully manufactured more than 200 thousands Deepwell Handpumps to meet various requirements of our global clients. We are closely associated with the UNICEF, Bureau of Indian Standards, RUWATSAN 1 (VLOM), RUWATSAN II and SKAT for continuous development, standardization and improvement of deepwell Handpumps.

Products

• Deepwell Handpumps ( India Mark II )
  These Handpumps are manufactured as per IS: 9301/1990. They are used to draw water from deeper aquifers ranging up to 50 meters (100/150 mm diameter) bore wells. The water we obtain from bore well is safe, potable and uncontaminated.
  
  
• Deepwell Handpumps ( India Mark III - 65 mm OTC VLOM )
  Manufactured as per IS:13056:1991, these Handpumps are the modified version of India Mark II Handpumps. The pump has Open Top Cylinder (OTC) which facilitates pulling out of plunger assembly and check valve assembly from the cylinder without pulling out the cylinder/riser main.
  
  
• Deepwell Handpumps ( India Mark III - 50 mm OTC VLOM )
  They are alsomanufactured as per IS: 13056:1991. These Handpumps are manufactured with 50mm diameter G.I./P.V.C. Pipes.
  
  
• Extra Deepwell Handpumps
  Extra deepwell Handpumps are capable of drawing water from operating depths up to 90 meters. These pumps are exclusively used for extracting water from greater depths.
  
  
• Afridev Handpumps
  AFRIDEV Pump has been designed to overcome the maintenance problems faced by the rural/unskilled operators. They are deepwell reciprocating type handpumps suitable for installation on cased boreholes and dug wells with static water level up to 45 meters. We also manufacture precision Spare Parts, accessories and tool kits for Afridev Handpumps
  
  
• Shallow Well Suction Handpumps
  These Handpumps are used for lifting water from a depth not exceeding more than 7 m. They are more cost effective than the Deep well Handpumps for medium lifts and are safer from bacteriological contamination and corrosion problems.
  
  
• Treadle Pumps
  We have developed latest technology Treadle Pumps that are commonly used for irrigation purpose in Malawi and other African countries. They are portable and can easily be assembled and dismantled. Treadle Pumps can discharge water up to 3 meters above the pump level and 20 meters of horizontal distance. Their range includes:

• Mini Water Supply Scheme With Force Lift Handpumps For Public Toilets
  Force Lift Handpumps are very useful for supply of water for cleaning purpose of the public toilets in urban/rural areas. The water available through these handpumps is stored in a storage tank, installed about 6 meters (20 ft) above ground-level.
  
  
• Mini Water Supply Scheme With Hand-Cum Power Pumps
  Mini water supply scheme is best suited for existing bore wells with hand- pumps. It provides suitable power pump, modification in the water tank assembly and storage tank.
  
  
• Joy Pumps
  We have also designed and developed joy pumps for the playing and drinking water requirement of the School Children. The following two types are available.
  • Merry-go-round Pumps
  • See Saw Pumps
    
    
  The Joy Pumps are designed by attachment of See Saw / Merry-go-round to the handpump. This pump therefore serves dual purpose, i.e. drinking water supply and the playing facility to the School Children. The energy created by the operation (Playing by children) of See Saw / Merry-go-round is utilized for drawing water from the borewell & diverting the same to overhead tanks for storage. The Water drawn borewells can be used for drinking water / gardening and Public Sanitation purpose.
  
  
• Span Soft Water Conditioner
  Span Soft Water Conditioners improve quality of water for drinking and agriculture purpose. They consist of self charged strong magnets. When water is passed through these magnets the physical properties of the water viz. density, viscosity, surface tension, electrical conductivity etc. are changed due to the ionization of water. However, chemical properties remain unchanged leaving water pure & healthy.

  This is a unique device providing complete water treatment system for domestic applica
