Polishing Machines (Single Disc SLE- 1(DC))

The specimen after mounting and after being polished by hand on emery paper is polished finally on this machine. The specimen is held against a rotating flat disc, on which a polishing clothes. Impregnated with suitable polishing media such as silicon carbide powder, aluminum or diamond powder is stretched. Disc polishing gives the specimen a scratch free mirror like finish.

 

The disc polisher consists of 20cm balanced polishing disc mounted on a steel stride. The spindle is located on heavy-duty ball bearing. The disc is easily removable for changing of the polishing cloth or paper.

Profile Projector (SLE-PP01)

SLE introduced launched a Profile Projector. This profile projector features a200mm diameter screen with 10x, 20x and 25x magnification lens mounted onturret for easy interchangeability and safety of the lenses, a rotaryprotractor screen for angular measurement, two one – micron micrometer headsand a quartz halogen profile and surface illumination. Other salient featuresinclude:

·        Coated optics gives bright, clear and sharp images.

·        Highly Polished and lapped front-coated mirrors providedistortion – less reproduction.

·        Precision, hard chrome plated coordinate work stagefeaturing hard ground ball tracks at one micron least count.

·        Micrometer heads for high accuracy are provided.

The profile projector has cooling fans for all bulbs and independent electronic andintensity controller to enable it to adjust the combination ofbackground/foreground lighting. Focusing is provided by means of rack andpinion arrangement that raises and lowers the work stage. This system ensures thatthe object image is maintained. This projector is suitable for inspectionchecking and measurement of highly components like watch parts, form tools,surgical needles, etc.
