SPEL is located in SIDCO INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, Thirumazhisai, Chennai with complete infrastructure facilities to manufacture / test the transformers up to 25 MVA 110 KV class. We are in this field for the past 12 years and have manufactured and supplied over 4500 transformers, which are working satisfactorily in various sites, where they are commissioned. SPEL is an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company.  We wish to proudly state the fact that we are the leading supplier of transformers to Windmill projects in India and have supplied more than 700 Nos ranging from 950 KVA to 2.5 MVA. We have developed expertise for manufacture of transformer required for windmill projects to withstand frequent switching and voltage variances.
 
We wish to highlight the fact that we are regular suppliers to TNEB for power transformers like distribution transformers, isolation transformers, stepdown transformers etc. We have supplied 2 Nos. 16MVA, 33/11 KV and 3 Nos. 8MVA, 33/11 KV with OLTC to TNEB. We have been awarded an order for 4 Nos. 16MVA, 110 KV with OLTC by TNEB and are presently executing it.

We maintain high standard for our transformers through the application of stringent quality parameters. To up hold the quality of our components we fabricate the tanks and radiators utilized in our transformers at our own processing unit in Chennai. We are an ISO 9001:2000 certified company
that itself emphasizes on the quality of our equipment. The power and distribution transformers that we manufacture confirm to Indian Standards IS2020 and IS1180 and international standards IEC, BS.
