ssec closing machine is simple and robust machine and it can be designed for various type of mould boxes. cope box is lifted by a special mechanism supported with the top frame and a main column arrangement, the guide supports are supporting on either side of the box to avoid shaking of the moulding boxes. drag boxes are easily lifted from the mould boxes and moved towards the cope box by separate lifting arrangements with guide bush.
provision for keeping the next cope box is possible by special design. lifting arrangement are made in such a way that while lifting, the moulds will not be damaged. the pneumatic systems used for handling the boxes are of high quality is standard cylinders.

Line Aerator![]() Ssec inline aerator is simple and robust machine deigned for continuous operation of prepared sand. aerator consists of two main rotors, which is driven by two separate electric motors. one rotor consists of ni-hard rods and another one consists of rubber with flat arrangements for easy handling of the sand from the conveyor.

ssec punchout machine are designed for easy knockout of the sand from the mould boxes to the shakeout machine. the punch head is specially designed to meet the box size. the punch head and the lifting frame is activated by individual motors/hydraulic cylinders and worm reduction gear units/hydraulic cylinder. trolley movement is achieved by separate motor and double reduction gear unit/hydraulic cylinders to get the required torque. the lifting frame is designed in such a way that it will not disturb the mould car and the trackline while in operation. the total system is controlled by a separate control system.

Shots Separation![]() The Shots separation is done in two stages. First stage by means of magnetic drum and the second stage by means of Air distribution system. The Magnetic drum separates the shots and dust in two levels. In the first level, the shots are evenly distributed with the help of a screw feeding system by which most of the shots are separated and fed to the Air distribution system. The shots which are not picked up by the first level of the Magnetic drum goes to the second level for separation. The shots are directed to the machine and the dust is collected separately. The quantity of heat to be removed depends on the sand to metal ratio and the holding time of metal in the mould. The return sand temperature at the inlet of the cooler after passing through conveyor is around 100 c. Mould of good quality and clean casting surface require well cooled sand. sand cooling requires a continuous and uniform flow. To achieve the uniform flow and compensate for irregular sand supply, the sieved hot return sand is stored in a surge hopper. From there, an belt transports the hot sand to the cooling conveyor, which is designed with a perforated bottom plate. Fresh air is blown through the preparation holes and at the same time water is sprayed on to the sand from nozzles located above the conveyor. Vibrations of the conveyor and turbulence caused by the air blown through ensure that sand water mix well so that the water evaporates and the sand is cooled. The belt, the cooling conveyor, and the sand spraying unit are controlled by level indicators located in the surge hopper. The plant operates only if the sand in the surge hopper is between the maximum and minimum level.

Cassette Type Dust Collector![]()
fabric filter ssec provides new technology cassette type reverse air cleaning system dust collector. The air is passed from outside to inside which ensures positive removal of dust particles. The cassettes are placed horizontally to have access for maintenance. operation of the filter the dusty air is sent to the dirty air compartment from the top by way of distribution manifold. The gas travels downwards through the filter cassette placed in rows and then into clean air compartment. During dust collection, the filter cassette undergo regular cleaning by a reverse air flow system. During cleaning, the cleaning takes place for two columns of cassette at one time. This is controlled by a separate control panel.
