Operation:

• The ground material is supplied onto a rotating grinding table connected to a bevel-spur gearbox, driven by an electric motor or possibly a hydraulic drive.
• Conical grinding runners are pressed on the material by means of hydraulic-pneumatic (or spring) force.
• The material passes from the table center to the runners where it is ground.
• On the table periphery the material falls over a retainer ring.
• There the material is picked up by air stream drawn from the lower part of the mill.
• The ground material is carried through a blade ring upwards via a chamber, which narrows and transitions to a dynamic separator.
• The coarse fraction from the separator is returned onto the table.
• Cyclones or filters separate the final product.
• The entire circuit has negative pressure, so it is dust free.

SRIRAM BALL MILLS are chiefly applied for Grinding of various products to fine and ultra fine paricular sizes. This can be utilized for both Wet Grinding as well as Dry Grinding applications.

BATCH MILL consists of a Cylindrical steel shell with flanged steel heads, rotating on a horizontal axis. Both the ends of the mill are strongly designed to withstand the rotational load of the feed material, Grinding Media and the mill itself. Openings are provided through which the Grinding media and process material can be loaded and discharged. The discharge opening is often in the opposite side of loading manhole.

The Mill driven by Motor coupled to the Reduction Gear Box off through Girth Gear arrangement.

The Mill is single compartment or divided into two or three compartments by a grate or diaphragm screening the material which ground in the First compartment.

The raw feed material at controlled rate enters into inlet end of the mill. The fines are being discharged with air steam through the outlet end to cyclone separator by a Fan. The Mechanical classifier may be with the system for collecting even particles size applied / product. The product fineness in controlled by means of varying the speed of classifier Rotor.

Operation:
 

• A tree limb is inserted into the hopper (the collar serving as a partial safety mechanism to keep human body parts away from the chipping blades) and started into the chipping mechanism.
• The chips exit through a chute and can be directed into a truck-mounted container or onto the ground.
• Typical output is chips on the order of one to two inches (3-5 cm) across in size.
• The resulting wood chips have various uses such as being spread as a ground cover or being fed into a digester during papermaking.
  
• Most wood chippers rely on energy stored in a heavy flywheel to do their work (although some use drums).
• The chipping blades are mounted on the face of the flywheel, and the flywheel is accelerated by an electric motor or internal combustion engine.
