 | Mobile Container Scanning Straddle Carrier Mobile container scanning straddle carrier – Mc.SSc., is a new concept in the field of radiation detection systems at the ports. mc.ssc. was designed and developed by S.S.B.I., India & Apantec, LLC, U.S.A jointly to screen containerized cargo for special nuclear and other radiological materials as it moves through the global maritime shipping network. To reduce the risk of illicit trafficking of these proliferation-concern materials, the mega ports initiative installs radiation detection systems at high-volume international seaports.
S.S.B.I. started the production of Mc.SSc. (concept design validated straddle carrier) in 2007 in association with many iit engineers and technocrats with an objective to provide a product that consists of a mobile platform upon which radiation portal monitors (RPMS) or any type of scanning monitors, related communications equipment and other required electronic equipments can be mounted.
Mc.SSc. has brought a revolution in the conceptual theory of fixed scanning systems by integrating the new technology, enabling mobile platform for container scanning. The Mc.SSc. allows trucks and trailers loaded with containers to drive through so the contents of the containers can be monitored for radioactivity. scanning can be done while the trucks are driving through and the Mc.SSc. is parked and stationary, and also mc.ssc. can be driven for multi-step time slice scanning. The Mc.SSc. will be driven to locations at the seaport where radiation monitoring is to be conducted.
The Mc.SSc. system is designed to withstand harsh environments, including exposure to high heat and humidity and corrosive sea spray at seaports. all structural, mechanical and electrical/electronic systems are protected and rated accordingly. The structure and all surfaces are coated for corrosion control appropriate for a seaport environment in accordance with accepted industry standards and practices.
Mc.SSc. provides the capability to scan gamma & neutron radiations using radiation detectors. the Mc.SSc. has the capability of having the detector frame mounted at various heights (see height adjustable below in the picture) depending on the specific needs of the seaport where it is to be deployed. the appropriate height will be determined prior to assembly and the detector frame will be installed at the selected height such that the RPMS are installed at their optimum operational height. Mc.SSc. is designed and equipped with shock mounts so that RPMS and their detectors are not affected by moving the Mc.SSc. or by operating on-board equipment. when the portal is not occupied, the system will automatically monitor background radiation and periodically update a display on the controller. When the system is occupied, the system begins fast count monitoring and will alarm if the count exceeds a predetermined alarm level. The system will generate a background fault if the background radiation level exceeds or falls below preset limits. A portal monitor system can consist of one or two pillars which contain the subsystem modules.
The Mc.SSc. character recognition application is capable of extracting container identification numbers –coding, identification and marking. The system provides container numbers with different heights passing through the Mc.SSc. on a single chassis. the system is capable for day and night operation. The system is designed to recognize and record container numbers. it facilitates and enhances management and operations of modern ports and container depots. It is an integrated subsystem with capture, recognition, file system, embedded database, search, report and disk management modules. |  |

 | Automated Behavior Pattern Recognition System The APBR system is a crime prevention system for understanding brain behavior pattern using a combination of psycho-physiological indications and cross referencing these indications with additional objective information and is a unique interrogation methods . the abpr system is an automated decision making tool which enables both screening & investigation with a rapid interrogation process to isolate terrorists, criminals and hostile employees at check points, border crossing, interrogation facilities, crime scene, combat zone and field operation.
The system can isolate those suspects that qualify for secondary investigation by trained investigators. the system performs this with a high level of accuracy and reliability (not more then 4% false alarm). once an individual is tagged as ‘suspect’ he will be directed to further questioning by the appropriate authority.
The flexible design concept of the system allows the system to function as a ‘multi-purpose application’, which can be easily adapted to different environments. in this manner, the system can be used for counter terrorism as well as for additional border control applications such as immigration, drug enforcement, and entry to high-security buildings, etc.

 | Passive GSM Interception, Monitoring And DF System Our passive gsm interception system is designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance, early warning and control, homeland security (hls), self-protection and self-defense and fire control applications by utilizing highly advanced technologies which achieves improved and unique operational capabilities. Advantages: - It Is A Fully Passive System: - The system performs target monitoring and location finding in a "silent" manner without interfering with the network or alerting the target mobile. it is completely non detectable and immune to changes made by the operator or change of the mobile unit.
- With Location Finding Capabilities:- It can provide passive geo-location to all targets under coverage. the location capabilities are based on built in network parameters exploitation using time advance parameter coupled with elta's unique direction finding (df) sub-sensor, which can be optionally attached to the system. with the df sensor the elk-70770e provides location data of targets, in accuracy of up to tens of meters.
Increased Range - The system is capable to intercept traffic in a range of up to 30 km depending on location of the sensor (line of sight is required) and the target network architecture. Elta has developed an advanced set of antennas and improved interception algorithms, enabling the system to decrease the interference from frequency re-use and intercept traffic from a longer distance. Larger range of interception allows the system operator to locate the system further away from the target, allows him to be able to monitor more targets and to track moving targets from a larger distance. Large Cell Coverage (BTS) – The system is able to cover 128 BTS channels and is upgradeable to as much as 256 channels. this feature allows coverage of large number of BTSS (cells) simultaneously. in most cases the system will allow coverage of all the intercepted BTSS in the vicinity. Another important advantage of elk-70770e is its capability to cover large BTS using a high number of channels. "Large cells" using 20-40 channels at once are very common in the GSM network today.the system is not sensitive or limited to a certain provider and can cover simultaneously BTS from any number of providers. Operation In Dense Activity Scenarios:- The system operates freely in the densest scenarios when the covered cells are used in full capacity (crowded streets, demonstrations, sport events etc.). The system covers all signaling information from all covered cells continuously. based on target parameters and priority the system brings to production relevant calls. Even when all the systems production resources are occupied, signaling information is monitored and if a target of higher priority starts a conversation, the system will prioritize production resources and bring it to production on the expense of lower priority targets. |  |

 | Aerial And Ground Surveillance System Aerial Monitoring System (A.M.S.)
System Highlights
The A.M.S is based on super-light stabilized imaging payloads mounted on a small and easy to operate tethered helium aerostats (blimps) it is a very low cost and high efficient real time video image gathering sub–systems which provides on line aerial picture of high quality video for daylight time and thermal imaging for night vision.
According to advanced C4I concepts A.M.S. architecture presents comprehensive standalone features for the local command providing an "independent eye in the air" it can be used in various applications:traffic control, coast and border control, fire fighting etc
Backgrounds
Based on our experience in the command control and security field we are proposing to provide the a.m.s to be implemented as a sub c4i architecture
The proposed flight platform of the A.M.S is a 30-feet tethered low-pressure helium aerostat, is an ideal tool for security "birds-eye" surveillance mission. It operates in low altitude of approximately 500-1000 feet (150-300 m´)
The crucial video information of the A.M.S can easily be distributed to all mobile and static command centers.
The system units are mobile and can easily be transported between venues according to operational needs.
System Description

Ground surveillance system (G.C.S.)
GCS is state of the art, universal unit designed to operate variety of aerial and ground platforms and is based on advanced real time software.
The primary function is to control & monitor air vehicle operation & its payload.other functions are: mission planning, pre-flight and post-flight maintenance procedures and more.
The GCS communicate with the air vehicle through a ground data terminal. it transmits commands to the air vehicle, and receives telemetry information plus real time video images. The ground control station has 2 screens – dedicated screen for video and another for the mission and it is right or left hand oriented. The GCS is an integrated part in our casper uav systems and our extended aerostat system, but can also operate as a stand alone "off the shelf" product

(i) Automatic license plate recognition system: These group covers applications related to the automatic recognition of a vehicle license plate number of both moving and stationary vehicles.It reads alphanumeric characters,plate color,state or province identifier and special characters from asia and the middle east
Its features include traffic flow control and other security measures further enhance the system. ALPR using video trigger utilizes alpr and video trigger technology to detect and recognize a vehicle license plate without the need for a hardware detector.License plate recognition module reads and recognizes the license plate numbers from images already collected by third-party capture systems. It is ideal to integrate with both real-time and back-office image processing systems.

(i) Detectors: Scintillation Detector:Scintillation detectors are used in process monitoring systems. The SD series detectors include a scintillator, photomultiplier tube, mu-metal shield, dynode chain, and lucite light pipe in a cylindrical enclosure. a light emitting diode (led) is located in the lucite light pipe for automatic gain control. A temperature sensor located within the lucite light pipe provides a temperature signal for temperature compensation. The detector housing is 2.5” in diameter x 7 inches long. The scintillation material is selected based on the type(s) of radiation to be measured. Gm – Gamma Detector:Gamma probe is an integrated real-time gamma radiation-monitoring device that provides highly accurate indication of ambient gamma radiation over a wide range. Gamma a pair of halogen quenched geiger mueller tubes for sensitivity to ambient gamma radiation levels. The gm tubes are operated using a "time-to-count" method which removes the limitations associated with traditional 'constant bias' gm tube circuits. Ion Chamber:The ID100 ion chamber detector is a sealed ion chamber probe packaged in a cylindrical aluminum enclosure and fitted with a multi-pin circular connector for interconnection to an apantec ram series display unit. The id100 is used on area monitoring applications with transient or burst radiation levels, or those channels with anticipated high activity such as containment / post accident detection. (ii) Display Units:Ram696 Local Display Unit:The Ram696 series instruments are used as the point of display and control for radiation monitoring channels. The units are microprocessor based designs that include robust communication capabilities such as RS485 serial ports, a USB port and TCP/IP ethernet communication for networking. Digital and analog input/output (I/O) circuitry is included to allow the Ram696 units to operate as data concentrators and controllers for devices external to the Ram696. The Ram696 design has three radiological counting channels, allowing simultaneous processing of radiological data from up to three external sensor channels. Information is displayed on a 240x128 pixel bit mapped LCD display mounted on the front panel of the Ram696. Ram686 Remote Display Unit:The apantec model Ram696 remote display & control unit is a nim style chassis mounted instrument and includes visual and audible indication of alarm status. each alarm also has an associated relay contact for remote annunciation of an alarm condition. |  |
