About Us

The concept of the project is demonstration of small scale technology application in an integrated framework. The pilot demonstration plants comprise of an integrated unit of small-scale spinning, yarn bleaching and dyeing, model weaving and model small-scale wet processing. The project activities would include technical assistance for training, support for pilot operation of wet processing technology as well as for the establishment of service centers. The investment component will be financed on concessional loans from CFC through NCJD. A synoptic view of the concept is illustrated below.

Aim / Vision / Mission

The project aims at extending training and support services to the rural community to develop a culture of entrepreneurship at the local level and help alleviate rural poverty by generating employment and raising family income, particularly through empowerment of rural women folks.

114 Self Help Groups (SHGs) 5 Non- Governmental Organisations (NGOs) motivated to take up production of Jute Diversified Product (JDP)

70 SHGs formed for production of JDP
1351 persons trained .
