We, SSM Export, were established in the year 2004 and are primarily engaged in processing of wide varieties of rice such as Idli Rice, Karnataka Rice, Andhra Ponni Rice, Indian Rice, Indian Basmati Rice, Long Grain Rice, Parboiled Rice Long Grain.

We have expanded our business horizons as one of the manufacturers of coconut products and are successfully guided by our mentors- Mr. M. Sobhana and Mr. S. Mohanraj who holds deep industrial experience and has been our source of motivation. Along with processing, we also cultivate the rice as well as procure it from some reliable cultivators and farmers in the state. We also supply bran which is a by-product produced during the processing of rice.

Processing of Rice

As one of the leading processors of rice, we leave no stone unturned in adopting latest processing techniques. We own a rice mill where in the related procedures of cleaning, milling, polishing and color mixing are carried out in an appropriate manner. The entire processing procedures are mentioned under:

• Procuring quality paddy directly from leading farmers which is harvested after 20 days
• Seeds of the rice plant milled using rice huller for removing chaff or the husk
• After removing the husk, white rice is obtained
• Rice is then buffed with glucose or talc powder to form the plashed rice
• Polished rice is parboiled or processed into flour
• Black rice removed using machines
• Material and the finally processed rice weighed over computerized weighing.

Manufacturing Unit

To meet the ever-increasing demands of our clients, we have set up a vast manufacturing unit, which is spread in a vast area of 40000 sq feet. This unit has a satisfying installation capacity of 500000 units and is equipped with latest machines and equipment so that we can carry the processes of cleaning, milling, polishing and color mixing with utmost accuracy.
