Salem: Santosh made an acquisition of a plant manufacturing liquid glucose in 1992 and then subsequently turned it around into a fully integrated Maize processing complex. The plant has a unique distinction for processing of Maize and Tapioca at Salem and now has a crushing capacity of 57000 Tons of Maize per Annum.

Kutch: It is the one of the most modern units in India , with the latest technology on avail at Sukhpar; Kutch in the western region of India .Kutch region is witnessing one of the fastest rates of industrial growth in India . This Greenfield unit was set up in 2004 to enhance Santosh's focus on expanding its presence in international markets.
The plant has a crushing capacity of 105000 Tons of Maize per annum. Its proximity to the Kandla and Mundra ports (Ports with the largest cargo handling capabilities in India ) is one of the greatest strategic advantages it has. Also both Bhuj and Kandla, which are in the vicinity, have very good air connectivity.

Both these plants are strategically located in the proximity of corn growing regions of India and also have ample availability of water.

Ahmedabad: It is our product development facility with world class Research and Development infrastructure located in Ahmedabad, the business capital of Gujarat . The plant specializes in manufacturing of custom-made specialty starches for use in paper and textile industry.

• Mr. Sohanlal Chowdhary is the Chairman & founder of the company. He started his career as at a very young age as a trader of Food Grains and starches in Andhra Pradesh. In Ahmedabad he diversified into Vegetable Oil Refining Plant at Ahmedabad. In 1992, he played an active role in putting up a manufacturing unit for processing of Maize & Tapioca Starch at Mangalapuram, near Salem that has an annual maize crushing capacity of 52000 TPA.

• Mr. Gautam Chowdhary, Managing Director has proved to be an able successor to his illustrious father. The foray of Santosh into manufacturing of starches and sweeteners and its emergence as pioneers in the corn wet milling industry was under his dynamic leadership and enterprise. He looks after the strategic affairs of the company. His vision and leadership are main drivers for the success and growth of the company.

• Mr. Mahaveer Chowdhary, Joint Managing Director handles the Marketing affairs and Research &Development activities that is the core competency of the company. He has deep knowledge in starches, especially in the category of Modified Starches, one of indispensable raw materials, in Paper, Pharmaceutical and Textiles, food industry. He has added new value added products to the product portfolio of the company which differentiates the company product from its competitors.

Code of Business Conduct and Ethics:
This Code of Business Conduct and Ethics has been adopted by our Board of Directors and summarizes the standards that must guide our actions. While covering a wide range of business practices and procedures, these standards cannot and do not cover every issue that may arise, or every situation where ethical decisions must be made, but rather set forth key guiding principles that represent the Company's policies and establish conditions for employment at the Company.

We must strive to foster a culture of honesty and accountability. Our commitment to the highest level of ethical conduct should be reflected in all of the Company's business activities including, but not limited to, relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, competitors, the government and the public, and our shareholders. All of our employees, officers and directors must conduct themselves according to the language and spirit of this Code and seek to avoid even the appearance of improper behavior. Even well intentioned actions that violate the law or this Code may result in negative consequences for the Company and for the individuals involved.

Conflicts of Interest:
Our employees, officers and directors have an obligation to conduct themselves in an honest and ethical manner and act in the best interest of the Company. All employees, officers and directors should endeavor to avoid situations that present a potential or actual conflict between their interest and the interest of the Company.

Although, it would not be possible to describe every situation in which a conflict of interest may arise, the following are examples of situations which may constitute a conflict of interest:

• Working, in any capacity, for a competitor, customer, supplier or other third party while employed by the Company.
• Accepting gifts of more than modest value or receiving personal discounts (if such discounts are not generally offered to the public) or other benefits as a result of your position in the Company from a competitor, customer or supplier.
• Competing with the Company for the purchase or sale of property, products, services or other interests.
• Receiving a loan or guarantee of an obligation as a result of your position with the Company.
• Directing business to a supplier owned or managed by, or which employs, a relative or friend.

In order to treat the effluent discharged from our plants, we have constructed most modern Effluent Treatment Plant. The effluents are treated as per the statutory requirements and are monitored with various equipments such as COD Analyzer, pH Meter, Conductivity Meter, Water Quality Analyzer, BOD Incubator and various other necessary equipments at our ETP laboratory.

The biogas generated out of the ETP plant is used as fuel in the boiler and to other production process. The treated effluents are used for agricultural purpose for growing of corn, sugarcane, cumin seeds etc. Thus to conserve the environment is our company's policy.

At Santosh we understand that our commitment to safety must extend not only to our employees, but also to all people who interact with us at any point of our value chain. Our commitment to safety extends beyond process and product, and branches out into education and awareness. While we recognize that we cannot control every interaction with our product in its operating environment, we believe that it is our responsibility to take all possible precautions and work towards building education and awareness among all those who will interact with our product during its life cycle.
