Standard Group Of Companies is an internationally operating Indian Company based at Mumbai/ Bombay & Vasind in the State of Maharashtra. The well diversified group has complete Infrastructure to develope every type of friction material for Automotive & Industrial related Applications. Ventured into manufacturing of Brake & Clutch Linings under the brand name of "COMMANDO" as early as 1968.

Entered in 1994, into Technical & Commercial Collaboration with M. I. C. K. E. Bruehmann, Duisburg, - one of the leading longtime GERMAN based Brake Lining manufacturers. The groups continuous and hardworking efforts in R&D has earned them an approval from the Indian Government for their in-house R & D Laboratory. The proud recipients and owners of GOLD SHIELD for IMPORT SUBSTITUTION in the year 1984. The highest national award by the Indian Government for excellence in import substitution. In all these years the company and its sister concerns are developing, creating innovative materials to solve the customer and application specific friction problems. The company has setup a production for Automotive Brake Linings (Commercial Vehicles) in Dar-es-Salaam as a turnkey project.
