Grizzly Feeder

Grizzly feeder is suitable to feed primary jaw crushers, selecting the large sizes which require primary crushing, the smaller sizes, and any fines which must be eventually rejected. The grizzly vibro feeder consists of a very large vibrating body made of thick plate, with inside lining of anti-abrasive plate. The grizzly vibro feeder is driven by two or four vibrating motors. The vibro feeder (which may either be placed on a steel or concrete base) rests on springs(Grizzly feeder).

    A robustly constructed range of vibratory machines extending from units 0.5m wide x 2m long up to units 1.5m x 4.5m.
    The grizzly feeders are intended primarily for use ahead of primary crushers and are designed to handle large run-of-quarry stone, take the impact of dumped loads and smooth out the flow of material to the crusher.
    All models of grizzly vibro feeders have a flat reinforced impact area followed by a sloping grizzly bar section.
    The longer grizzly feeders are fitted with two stepped, grizzly bar sets. Replaceable wear sections of mild steel, manganese steel or rubber are fitted depending on the duty specified.

Construction:
    Of rugged construction throughout, Grizzly Feeders are designed to handle run of quarry stone up to 1000mm lump size.
    The plain section is lined with a 12.5mm minimum thick replaceable plate in mild steel as standard, with abrasion resistant manganese steel and rubber elements as options.

Vibrators:
    All machines in the Grizzly Feeder range are powered by the Invicta BL Series vibrators to give guaranteed performance for either intermittent or continuously rated duties. All vibrators are dust and weatherproof with protection to IP66. The vibrators operate from a 3 phase supply, 50 or 60 Hz up to 650 volts.

Though much of the initial head way made in foundry automation was with the mould making process, more important is the meltshop automation. This includes remote furnace charging systems. Automation is mainly thought of as a solution to high labour cost and it certainly can increase workers productivity. However, much more important today is the effect of automation on quality. Another important advantage that automation provides in foundry environment is enhanced safety. For example automation allows foundry men to work at a safe distance from molten metal or do their jobs behind protective barriers thus reducing injuries from metal splash or furnace eruption. Also where automation exercises monitoring & control functions, it helps prevent accidents related to in-attention or judgement errors. Today's most technologically advanced induction furnaces provide high power densities and are able to run to full power throughout the charging process. These furnace require rapid charging to keep pace with the melting power of the system. In many foundries, however, charging the furnace can be a labour-intensive. Moreover, manual operation is too slow which does not allow maximum utilization of the melting system. Charge materials are simply dumped into the furnace with wheel barrows or dropped in by hand essentially the same way as it has been done for centuries. Besides the inefficient use of time and manpower, manual charging can damage furnace lining if heavy charge materials are dropped into the furnace, thus gouging or cracking the wall or bottom refractory.

In induction furnaces improper manual charging can also lead to dangerous bridging situation in which tangled pieces of scrap from a layer above and apart from the molten bath. If unrecognised by the furnace operator, bridging can lead to superheating of the bath, failure of the furnace lining and runout.

Manual charging also directly exposes melt deck workers to the dangers of metal splash from charge materials hitting the molten bath and of furnace eruption or explosion caused by wet or damp charge materials. Metal splash is one of the most common melt deck hazards & ideally, melt deck worker should be away from the furnace or behind protective barriers during charging which can only be accomplished with remote systems. Remote charging systems enhance safety not only by allowing melt deck worker to be away from the furnace during charging, but by reducing the chances of damage to the furnace lining & the likelihood of bridging situation.

Our typical twin motor vibrating  tubular feeder , 304 stainless product contact surfaces, with all internal welds ground smooth. Unit is supplied to a leading manufacturer of plastic pellets. Unit is designed for overhead, suspension mounting on spring hangers with cable supports. note: clean out access doors at both the inlet and outlet. The 8" diameter tubular trough is designed to handle 300 cubic feet per hour of acrylic pellets at 40 lbs. /cu. Ft. An ac inverter controller for variable speed control is an included feature.

Vibrating feeders & Screens :

Electromagnet powered vibratory feeder is a high frequency reciprocating machine of light duty capable of conveying bulk material from storage to processing or between processes at a continuous controlled rate of flow.This vibrating feeders are used in processing industries for handling al types of materials such as hot, damp, lumpy, dusty or abrasive for various functions like flow of material from storage, proportioning and blending, packaging, mixing, weighing, sprinkling, screening, scaling, crushing, washing, drying, heating, cooling, dusting, spreading, batching and etc. These feeders are having a tray mounted on the drive units. This drive unit is located beneath the tray consisting of two sets of leaf springs connected to the mounting bracket., an Electromagnet with armature and solid cast iron base. When the Magnetic Coil of the feeder is energized it gives horizontal vibrations to the tray which ensures a free, smooth, uniform, volumetric flow to the material that is fully variable from dribble to surge by externally steplessly with the help of a knob provided in the control panel. Vibrating Feeders can be supplied with base mounted, over hanging or combined single magnet drive or with twin, dual twin magnet drives or with multiple drives to serve as vibrating conveyors.

STAR TRACE vibratory feeders are available in a variety of trough size and shapes as per IS:8723-1978. This feeders are supplied through a half-wave rectifier resulting into 3000 vibrations per minute at 50Hz. The amplitude of vibrations can be varied to vary the feed rate externally with the help of variac provided in the control panel. As there is no moving mechanical parts inside the power unit such as gears, motors, eccentric weights, chains and bearings, there is absolutely no maintenance and no down time for process industries. The vibratory tray is heavily fabricated duly stiffened with angles. Wear resistance plate can also be provided in the tray for varying abrasive materials. Tray can be made to suit individuals requirements. This can be made dust tight too. The system is fitted with a powerful electromagnetic coils which is made from double fibre glass covered copper wire suitable for class H insulation for excellent result. The coil is moulded in specially formulated resin to withstand any type of atmosphere.
