Steel Exchange India Limited Was Established In 1995 With 10 Employee And We Are The Manufacturer of Steel Ribbons,Ribbon Mixers,Mass Ribbon Mixer,Ribbon Wound,Ribbon Bars.

On its incorporation in 1999 as a public limited company and wholly owned subsidiary of Pyxis Technology Solutions Ltd., Steel Exchange India Limited acquired a well-established steel specific vertical B2B portal www.steelexchangeindia.com, which had been promoted and developed by its holding company Pyxis Technology Solutions Limited. Steelexchangeindia.com has the rare distinction of being India�s first B2B specific portal.

Under the Scheme of Amalgamation of M/s Steel Exchange India Limited and M/s Simhadri Steels Private Limited with Pyxis Technology Solutions Limited, as approved by the members in the Court convened meeting, held on 27th December 2003 duly approved by the Hon�ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 14th July 2004 all the said companies were merged together. Subsequently the name of the new amalgamated company was changed to M/s Steel Exchange India Limited by the Company in the EGM held on 11th August 2004 with effect from April 2003.

Under the Scheme of arrangement between M.s Vizag Profiles limited and Steel Exchange India limited the steel Division of M/S Vizag Profiles Limited has been transferred to M/s Steel exchange India Linited the company Vizag profiles limited has merged with Steel Exchange India Limited w.e.f 01/04/2006.

The equity shares of the company are listed on the Bombay, Hyderabad and Calcutta stock Exchanges and the trading in the shares of the Company is compulsory in dematerialized form. The company has a paid up capital of Rs.(19.59 ) crores.

The main activities of the Company comprise of following divisions.

SEIL Trading Division- trades in all types of structural steel,long products,special steels ,Semis and Raw materials for steel sector.

SEIL Ingot Manufacturing and Power Division- manufactures 90000 TPA steel Ingots and has got 8MW Captive power generation from Gas.

SIMHADRI � STMT Re-bar Rerolling of FE-500 Grade having capacity of 60000 TPA. PYXIS � Software Development

E-COMMERCE � Steelexchangeindia.com Vortal for trading in steel related products and services.

Re-rolling mill- Ongole- STMT Re-Rolling of Fe-415 Grade having capacity of 20000 TPA.

MS Wire Drawing - MS Binding and Gauge wire manufacturing unit of 10000 TPA

GI Division - GI, High carbon wires,LRPC wires. LRPC ply wires,Idented HC wires of 36000 TPA.

The Company has plans for further backward integration by acquiring Iron ore mines on lease or total ownership and setting up of a sponge Iron Plant based on Coal/Gas.
