Nichrome metallurgical structure confers them a very good plasticity when cold. These nichrome scrap are used for the manufacture of electric resistances for appliances (insulated elements type tubular resistances or for example opened elements on mica nit plate) or for application of industrial furnaces. In addition of a relatively high specific resistance, nichrome scraps possesses all the necessary properties for good performances in use of furnaces: • Resistance to oxidation (they are not sensitive to aggressions of humid air) • Low belittlement at high temperature • Good plasticity – Easier to give them a shape • Good control of elasticity during shaping (coiling, folding, drawing) |
Hastelloy scrap is very unique in its position as a high performance alloy or super alloy. Hastelloy scrap is used for pressure vessels, pipes and valves in chemical industry applications. With its excellent corrosion resistant properties, recycled hastelloy scrap is also used in the oil and gas, health and environmental, energy, flue gas de-sulfurization and pharmaceutical sectors of industry.
