Necessity
In the process of tea manufacture when the green leaves are converted into black tea or made tea, one can observe that there are various size of particles exist. Out of bulk, many of them do not cover marketable sizes. Those after sorting out require breaking and then re-sorting. So, for breaking these bulks Andrews Tea Breaker is necessary.

Utility
A breaker when does not injure the quality, stretch the surface of the particles, can be adjusted instantly according to the required result, is called a "Good Breaker". "Steelsworth" tea breaker possesses these qualities.

Function
Arnott Sorter is used to Segregate Various size of stalk free orthodox tea with the help of vibratory wire mesh system. Vibratory motion of the system is communicated to different wire meshed trays through a double acting Crank arrangement and motor.

Operation
Stalk free Tea is fed to top Deck from an adjustable feed hopper and over sized tea particles move over the top of the wire mesh tray upto the collecting chute and smaller size particles pass on to next wire mesh tray for similar operation till all the tea particles traverse up to the last deck one after another.

Function
(A) For CTC It is Vertically Vibrating machine used as withered leaf feeder to Supervane / Rotorvane. Vibrating action of the Machine breaks the lump of withered and feed the leaf evenly to Supervane /Rotorvane. It also cleans withered leaf from foreign particles and dust through sieving operation.

(B) For Orthodox It is also used after rolling table to extract 1st fine and 2nd fine from rolled tea during orhtodox manufaturing by using a perforated tray of specific hole size.

Operation
This is a hanging tray vertically vibrating machine. Four rigid arm of the machine hold the tray for vibrating action and vibrating action pass on to the tray through connecting rods and eccenric action.

For CTC
Withered leaf is fed to a specialty designed hopper mainly to receive even feed rate of withered leaf to Rotorvane / Supervane in case of CTC operation

For Orthodox
The same machine also used to take out specific sized tender leaf during Orthodox tea manufacturing with the use of preforamet tray.

Steelsworth Concept
Steelsworth Air Heater is an improved form of the basic concept of hot air generating system. Ambient air enters into the air heater from the side top and being heated from the hot surfaces, it flows into the drying chamber being drawn by the drier's hot air fan. Flue gases are drawn by the Induced Drought Fan through the two veritical rows of tube banks on either sides of the furnace area and casting surfaces to the chimney. In Steelworth Air Heater ambient air passes through triple Passes and flue gas passes through five passes. These multiple passing of ambient air and flue gas in this improved design with compact and planned inner surface provides excess heat in the hot air.

Quality Castings
All cast iron part are made from special heat resistant and superior quality castings so as to ensure their withstanding capacity at high heat and temperature. Use of such graded castings also eliminates rapid detoriation of castings in and around the furnace area and give much durability assurance.

High Thermal Efficiency
Steelsworth Air Heaters are designed for better heat transfer. Our FIVE PASS model is more efficient than the DOUBLE PASS model as the flue gas passes five times before escaping into the atmosphere and so the flue gas temperture is reduced which provides higher thermal effciency. Since the flue passes through the tubes instead of over them , these tubes can be cleaned and maintained for better heat trasfer. The net efficiency varies from 55% to 70% depending on the model.

Multiple Flue Provisions
TSteelsworth Air Heaters are easily operatable with different kind of solid flue (viz: wood, coal, leco, briquetted waste, bagasse etc.),liquid flue (viz: light distillate, heavy furnace oil) and gas firing.

The conventional 3 Circuit Dryer for Drying Orthodox / CTC Tea

To optimise production as well the ECP 3 Circuit Drryer has been modified. The Conventional System of Leaf Back Process has been maintained since hot air coming from the bottom gradually gets moist with evaporation of water from the tea.

To enhance capacity and for faster drying a hot air by-pass arrangement has been made to allow better mixing of hot air with the moisture between the second and top circuits. It has been found that if 230degree F IS maintained at the bottom of the Drying Chamber, exhaust temperature, after mixing, is between 100 to 110degree F resulting in best utilisation of fuel and higher productivity.

Function
Myddleton Sorter is mainly used to separate out long and leaf and tea stalk from relatively small size tea particles.

Operation
Machine is fitted with two nos. of preforated dimple trays. Tea is fed to the top tray with help of an adjustable feed hopper Fine tea particle fall through the 1st Perforated dimple tray and remaining larger Particles of tea with stalk come out at the discharge end of the 2nd dimple tray leaving behind next smaller size particles to underneath of 2nd dimple tray.
