The Stromag GE Coupling is a highly-flexible coupling for transmission of high torques. The series covers a nominal torque range from 2000 Nm up to 270000 Nm, in special sizes also up to 450000 Nm. The torque is transmitted from the input side to the output side overcoming single elements in star-shaped arrangement.

Applications :
There is a variety of possibilities to use hydraulically released spring-applied multi-disc
brakes in the stationary and mobile sector, also combined with hydraulic motors.
The brakes can be integrated in the oil circuit of the motor.

When starting the hydraulic motors, the brakes release with oil pressures of 15 - 38 bar.
Thereafter the full system pressure up to 320 bar can be connected.

The brakes can be used in wet and dry operation. With failure of the oil pump,
an emergency release is possible.

Hilfsstrom-Endschalter können auch als Kopierwerke Verwendung finden.

Stromag multi-disc clutches for marine gearboxes are oil cooled and operate hydraulically. They are designed for reliable torque transmission with minimum dimensions in order to operate in the smallest space envelope. As a result of continuous development there is no limit to the enhanced performance of this type of clutch (KMS200.000) Stromag has reached new horizons with a transmittable torque of more than 2 million Nm, a diameter of 1.2 metre and a weight of nearly 4 tons - this clutch is the largest ever-built for the entire drive sector.

The Stromag Gurimax Coupling is a highly-flexible coupling which transmits the torque form-fit. The series covers a nominal torque range from 15 Nm up to 9400 Nm. The coupling contains a torsional limitation; torque and speed peaks are damped efficiently.

The Stromag Coupling TRI-R is a highly flexible rubber coupling particularly suitable for diesel engine drives. The series covers a nominal torque range from 1150 Nm up to 20000 Nm; its connection dimensions comply with the SAE-standard.


Due to the torsional and radial flexibility of the ring element and the axial flexibility of the diaphragm, the Coupling TRI-R is excellently suitable for applications with resiliently mounted drives. A good structure-borne noise insulation is achieved by the large rubber volume. The variety of available rubber qualities allows to select the suitable coupling for every drive subject to torsional vibrations.

The Stromag TRI Coupling is a highly flexible rubber coupling particularly suitable for diesel engine drives. The series covers a nominal torque range from 2000 Nm up to 125000 Nm.

The TRI Coupling is particularly suitable for applications with resiliently mounted drives due to their high ability to adjust axial and radial shaft misalignments. By the variety of possible combinations and in up to four execution lines, it is also suitable for drive applications which require an extremely torsional-soft coupling.

The Stromag Periflex® CS Coupling is a highly-flexible rubber coupling for direct connection of a cardan shaft to a diesel engine drive. The series covers a nominal torque range from 480 Nm up to 14800 Nm; its connection dimensions comply with the SAE-standard. The cardan shaft side is available with various metric sizes, on request also for spicer, mechanics or cross-type toothed connections.
The Periflex® CS Coupling combines a ring element of rubber-flexible material and a bearing to absorb safely the restoring forces of a connected cardan shaft. The variety of available rubber qualities allows to select the suitable coupling for every drive subject to torsional vibrations.

The Stromag Periflex® Shaft Coupling is a highly-flexible rubber/fabric coupling, particularly suitable for connection of two shafts in diesel engine and electric drives. It can be used in the nominal torque range from 25 Nm up to 15000 Nm.


Due to the particularly designed shaft tyre, the Periflex® Shaft Coupling can overcome extreme offsets with low restoring forces, without noting any wear. As a standard, the rubber/fabric tyre is provided with a parting line in our works so that it can be mounted and dismantled radially without necessity to shift the connected machines.

The Stromag Periflex® Top Torque is an improvement of our well-proven shaft coupling PNA. It is particularly suitable for connection of two shafts in diesel engine and electric drives. The mounting could be simplified by constructional modifications and the nominal torque could be increased by higher requirements in quality to the rubber/fabric tyre; the nominal torque covers the range from 35 Nm up to 20460 Nm.


In all other respects the known advantages of our shaft coupling PNA apply. Because of the special construction of the shaft tyre the Periflex Top Torque can overcome extreme offsets with low restoring forces, without noting any wear. As a standard, the rubber/fabric tyre is provided with a parting line in our works so that it can be mounted and dismantled radially without necessity to shift the connected machines.

standard switches:
the series hhev lever limit switches are used where motions can be disengaged directly, e. G. Travelling motions of crane bridges and trolleys, bucket lifts and other hoisting gears.
the switch is fitted in such a way that due to the travelling motion the switch lever is running on a straight edge thereby swinging the lever out of its centre position.

construction

• the lever limit switch consists of a lever and a switch part which are rigidly connected.
• the housing parts of series hge and heg are used.
• the shaft is moved rotationally form-fit by the drive lever up to max. 85° into each direction; it is limited mechanically. Forced deflections of the lever exceeding 85° will destroy the lever return motion mechanism.

Standard switches
Auxiliary current spindle cam limit switches are simple mechanical switching devices allowing 1 switching point in each direction of rotation only.
The advantage of this arrangement is that at this switching point several switching contacts can be actuated simultaneously and in parallel; e.g. several independent control current circuits or 1 main current circuit of 2 or 3 phases can be disengaged simultaneously.

The main applications are e.g. the main current disengagement of escalators, small lifting gears, conveying systems, etc.

Construction

• The housing of the switch HSPH consists of seawater-proof aluminium casting.
• The input shaft sleeve is led in maintenance-free, sealed roller bearings. It turns the trapezoidal thread spindle, which by this turning is shifted also axially in the thread of the stationary holding frame.
• The switching noses of the two fitted switching and stopping nuts pass a screw-type route. Compared with geared switches the switching speed is much higher and several contacts can be actuated in parallel by the contact strip.

Standard switches :

51 series geared cam limit switches are universal mechanical switching devices that have been designed
for use in conjunction with cam discs based on a specific angle of rotation for indication of a large
number of shaft revolutions. These cam discs serve to operate mechanical contacts. Geared cam limit
switches are used wherever specific ranges of travel cannot be directly limited by switchgears but only
indirectly via measurements of the angle of rotation. A classic example of such an application
is limitation of the hook travel of crane hoisting gear.

standard switches
hge series geared limit switches are universal mechanical switching devices for industrial applications. They consist of a reduction gear and one or two contact spaces containing the switching contacts and the co-ordinated cam discs. By the reduction gear a number of revolutions, which are transmitted to the input shaft of the geared limit switch, are reduced to an angle of rotation at the cam disc of max. 320° (with 40° cam discs).
then the adjustable cam discs actuate the mechanical switching contacts.
by utilisation of mechanical switching contacts with forced separation to vde 0660 part 200, limit switches are preferably used in the hoisting technology.
for that purpose the entire mechanical construction from the input shaft up to the contact bridge is positively driven.
the only exception are the cam discs "v", which are fitted when particularly required by the customer, and the block adjustment.

Disc brakes providing larger cooling air volume and more effective radiating surfaces. This is further improved when using ventilated discs. Thus disc brakes require fewer brake adjustments – no drum dilations – less lining wear: more safety, reliability and productivity.
