Ajinkya electronics manufacture an
assortment of control and automation equipment or test and
measurement equipment like data logger, flow meter, multichannel
temperature controllers etc. Variegated product categories had
always attracted many number of clients which kept our sales graph
in an upward direction. What our company lacked was a good online
presence and this is what led us to IndiaMART.
We registered with IndiaMART almost 4 years back and that time we
had opted for a single page catalogue. We had no expectations and
there was no note worthy response from our catalogue as well. So we
were almost on verge of terminating the contract. And then the
client servicing team offered a 5 page catalogue and frankly it was
a gamble for us. As luck would have it; it was boom time for
internet in India and net was being made available in nooks and
corners of India. People had started to refer web for product search
than referring to print media.
At that time we had major sale through OEM clients and very less
direct to market sale. IndiaMART and frankly our presence with other
such portals can not be neglected. It helped us boost the direct to
Market sale. During recession, our OEM sale took a beating.
Inquiries from portal helped us maintain our sales figures. Our
product categories have got an added attention in the online world.
The display windows for new products and season's offering have
enticed new customers to our product portal.
What worked best for us were the e-commerce solutions. From setting
up an e-commerce base to online payment gateway, we were provided
with a single point solution. The pop account helped in scrapping
all the spam mails and centralized all the web related mailing
requirements.
