Sujaya rubber industries was started in 1974 by b. Hari and a team of experienced rubber technologists and engineers. This unit started with manufacturing cellular sheets for footwear industry. Soon after the unit diversified into manufacturing hoses and standard and technical moulded rubber components. By the beginning of the eighties, the unit ventured into manufacturing specialty hoses and technical rubber products for chemical industries and kerala water authority. . Sujaya rubber industries was the first unit in kerala, who developed rubber gaskets for water transmission mains for kerala water authority and also ? O? Rings as original equipments for kerala premo pipe factory ltd. , chavara (a govt. Of kerala undertaking). This was an important development for the unit. The unit added more production facilities for meeting the industries' demand for quality rubber products. In nineties, sujaya rubber industries developed specialty viton gaskets for heat exchangers for fact with the technical assistance of rubber board, kottayam as import substitute and then for comminco binani ltd. Since then a lot of critical rubber components were developed to meet specific requirements of industries in kerala, tamil nadu & karnataka.
