China Clay is also known as hydrated aluminium silicate. China clay is an important raw material of ceramic industry. In consists of Partly Crystalline and party amorphous minerals of Kaoline group. Ball clay is a fine grained and plastic sedimentary clay, mined and processed water washed and filter pressed.The inherent properties of Ball Clay is valued in its high plasticity, dry strength, green strength, bonding nature etc. The high plasticity facilitates shaping and finishing of ceramic bodies and high strength allows un-dried clay article to keep their shape and withstand all types of molding, shaping and conveying during manufacture. It is a refractory mineral composed mainly of zirconium silicate ZrO2 min.65 percent It is having a low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity. Zirconium sand is used in ceramic industry.

Soda feldspar is consisting of sodium along with silica. It is a very hard mineral and available in many colors. Main composition of feldspar powder is Na2O 5 – 12 percent and SiO2 30 – 40 percent. Its melting point is 1170-1200C with specific gravity of 2.60. Feldspar is also available in lumps/granules. Sodium feldspar is available in pure form and is widely used as flux in fabrication of glass, ceramics, dental porcelain, porcelain insulator and also in fruits.
