Quality Policy / ProcessesQuality raw material is the key to maintain quality of Forgings. Hence SFSI procures raw materials mainly from reputed steel mills like VISL, SAIL, Remi Steels etc., alongwith Mill Test certificates which contains Chemical composition, heat number & manufacturing process.
All raw materials undergo the following process.
Raw material is checked for size & surface defects.
We allot bar numbers to each lot by heat numbers/size
All bars/ingots are painted with bar numbers
Chemical testing for each heat is carried out.
Ultrasonic testing of bars is carried out if required by the customers.
Inclusion rating & grain size is checked if required by the customer.
After getting satisfactory results, raw material undergoes manufacturing process of cutting, forging, heat treatment, proof machinery & other testings as per ciustomers requirements.
