Description :

Super BTP is Polymeric alloxy titanate, a condensation product of n butyl titanate. It is yellowish organic flammable liquid.

Iso Stearoyl Titanate

Coupling Agents are molecular bridges at the interface between two dissimilar substrates, such as an inorganic/organic filler, fiber or pigment and an organic polymer matrix, Titanium derived coupling agents react with free protons at the inorganic/organic interface, resulting in the formation of organic monomolecular layers on the inorganic or organic surface. Typically, titanate-treated inorganics are hydrophobic organophilic and organofunctional and therefore, exhibit enhanced dispersibility, bonding and chemical interaction with the polymer or organic phase (1), When used in filled polymers, they improve impact strength, exhibit melt viscosity lower than that of virgin polymer , at inorganic loadings above 50 per cent, and enhance maintenance of mechanical properties during aging (2 ), When the pigment particulate is monolayered with coupling agent, water and air contained on and within the pigment are removed and replaced by polymer, thereby making the composite moisture and void free. Therefore it eliminates the source or site of various mechanical property depleting mechanisms, such as aging, corrosion, loss of electrical properties, etc, in pigmented, filled and reinforced polymer composites and elastomers

Titanate surface modifiers contain hydrolysable - OR groups (where R is an alkyl radical such as iso propyl) which can condense with reactive groups on the filler surface, and between 2 and 3 hydrophobic substituents which interact with the polymer matrix.

This water disperse enamel has longer shelf life

This additive provides an aerosol sprayable water in oil emulsion glass enamel composition.

This additive prevent pigment flocculation during storage.

Additive-113/2 is not a simple emulsifier but it is coupling agent in corporated into it.

This titanium derived coupling agent gives hydrophobic nature to the pigment particles. Electrical balance of the polar pigment in wet enamel is maintain. This inhibit flocculation of pigment in clusters of enormous size which is main reason for loss of gloss and hiding power of enamel.

Additive-113/2 can work for any solvent soluble film forming resin which are preferred for water in oil emulsion system. Following resin can be used along with Additive-113/2.

Vinyl toluene modified alkyd resins.
Acrylic modified alkyd resins.
Styrene modified alkyd resins.
Aromatic hydocarbon resins.

Handling :

Tetra N Butyl Titanate hydrolyzes rapidly upon exposure to moisture to from Tio2 and Iso propanol. To maintain high quality material, all contract with air and moisture must be avoided. Store in a cool dry area away form heat, sparks and open flame.


 
 

Titanium Acetyl Acetonate ( Taa 65)

Super TAA-65 is a titanium chelate (ethoxy iso-propoxy titanium bis (2,4-pentanedionate) or ethoxy iso-propoxy titanium acetylacetonate). The acetylacetonate legands confer increased stability to the titanate compared with the titanium alkoxides. Super TAA-65 is stable to crystallization, even in the presence of seeds at –250C. Super TAA-65 is non-freezing version of Titanium acetylacetone.
