Post rough machining operations each Roll is subjected to ULTRASONIC TEST, before heat treatment to ensure the quality of both the surface and the interior.

Since performance of rolls is largely influenced by the quality of hardening process, we ensure that each Roll undergoes individually suited most scientifically decided furnace with requisite austenitizing and tempering temperature ensures:

• Very high initial hardness
• Maximum depth of hardened layer
• Sufficiently low gradient of hardness in the intermediate layer between the fully hardened zone and core of the roll.
• Fine tempered martensitic structure with minimum residual austenite and well distributed carbide particles in the hardened layer.

• Excellent fatigue strength
• Optimized texture with regard to high wear resistence.
• High resistance to surface damage
• Higher depth of surface hardness

• Very high degree of surface finish
