T.E.N.S.:- is a short name of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve stimulator. It generates electrical impulses that are sent through electrodes placed over nerve centers. It is a safe non – invasive, drug free and has no side effects. It can reduce the need for pain narcotics and drug. It works by two different methods. TENS is based on the theory that continuous mild electrical activity blocks the pain signal traveling to the brain. The unit is microprocessor controlled with full function LCD display.
